Dreadfully Boring

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Roopesh Peethambaran does indeed turn out a 'Brutus' with this product which takes him a step back post his impressive debut with 'Theevram'. The movie has a lot of good things going it's way - a very promising start, a set of good funny sequences and some good background music to go along with the colourful frames. And on top of this we have a 'bearable' performance from Asif Ali,an 'absolutely awesome' performance from Tovino and a 'watchable and worthwhile' performance from Sreenivasan after a long long time !!! But in-spite of all these good factors the movie meanders along aimlessly throughout and falls short of being considered good with the main culprit being the lack of a proper plot or story :)

Y cant we be creative and make good movies instead of copying plots from Hollywood. If so why don't try and make some changes so it will not look so obvious. Just watch the movie HE IS JUST NOT THAT IN TO YOU movie from 2009. Please be creative stop stealing from others, even if you do please be kind enough to acknowledge..."Janine is married to Ben (Bradley Cooper) and they are renovating their new house. She is a paranoid neat freak, and especially concerned that he may have started smoking again. Ben married Janine because they had been together since college, and she gave him an ultimatum - marry her, or break up. While at the grocery store, Ben meets Anna (Scarlett Johansson), an up and coming singer/yoga teacher. He allows her to cut the line to cashier, resulting in her being named the 1000th customer and winning a water cooler. He reveals he is married, but offers to help Anna with her singing career because he has several contacts in the business." This bit is taken from the synopsis of HE IS JUST NOT THAT IN TO YOU. now this is take from the plot summary of you too brutus"Abhi (Asif Ali) is leading a sweet family life with his wife Aparna(Rachana Narayanankutty) and they are very busy with constructing a new house for them and the only thing is that his wife hates smoking. After their marriage Abhi is not in a good terms with his elder brother Hari (Sreenivasan). Arun, Unni, Vicky and Tovino are now living in the house of Hariyettan. Hari is a painter, a guide and a philosopher to the youngsters who are living with him. He is also trying to maintain a silent relation with his neighbour, a dance teacher. Her dance classes used to give a positive energy to Hari. The story of the movie is the life of each and every characters above mentioned. The entry of Sherly (Honey Rose) to the life of Abhi turned his life. Sherly is a model as well as a Singer. Her aim was to have relation with Abhi to get chances in her singing profession as he is owning a recording studio. Sherly's glamour helped her to conquer the heart of Abhi."Does it have any similarities, No go watch both movies

Another deliberate attempt to intimidate your sensibility--, Even though much was expected from the noted director of Theevram(2012) which featured an young Dulquer Salman and also displayed the caliber of a promising new director. But You too Brutus disappoints through its 120 mints run time. Everything is stupidly amateur. The Photography, music, editing and acting-all sucks. Even veteran actors like Sreenivasan seems to have never even read the script. The movie is a wreck-less procession of clichés from start to finish. The script goes horribly awry most of the time. The actors compete among each other in disappointing the audience. This must be one of those rarest films in which the editing suite does not exist at all.The most intimidating aspect is the negligence from the director's side. One can't simply believe that such a piece came from a promising director like him. Theevram was an above average thriller on all grounds.Even though it reminded of many similar slasher/revenge films, there were many memorable scenes/sequences. The acting and music were excellent. On the contrary, there is not even one memorable scene in You Too Brutus..The script seems to unsuccessfully superimpose the image of an empowered woman upon the audience through its different woman characters. This becomes terrible after a while.Roopesh Peethambaran needs to be more serious to his craft. We Expect a better film next time from a director of his calibre..2 Stars..
