It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

The movie opens with a snuff scene that appears it could have come from Sin City. A man in handcuffs is set upon by a group of zombies, which we later find out were produced by the government, unless you read the comic book. Meanwhile Tom and Mark decide they want to go out for a drink, but like a trip to White Castle they get detoured. There is also Raven, "don't call me Jennifer" who is a punk-goth looking photographer. She joins the group. As fate would have it these 4 end up together. We find out the man in cuffs is some kind of government agent who was supposed to have been killed by the zombie attack. Mark has issues with his former roommate Kevin, who is sleeping with his gf, or ex-gf. Kevin looks like a young Val Kilmer. The movie has some real bad acting, like the bouncer at the bar who has "SECURITY" on his t-shirt. Fortunately the worse actors get eaten early. There seems to be a serious lack of guns for rural Michigan. There is one scene with some comical Dr. Evil diabolical laughter. The zombies are of the slow moving variety with a lousy make-up job.The DVD comes with a PREQUEL comic book. It would help if you read the comic book first. F-bomb, no sex, no nudity (unless you count the comic book which has topless drawings).

Another ultra low budget zombie flick. How deceptive those DVD covers look huh? I will never trust DVD covers again! Lol Anyways about this flick, I did not care for it at all. Some scenes I could not stand. Like the Goth chick Raven(who by the way does nothing really but taking so-call pictures of the zombies!? WTF!?) trying to start up the chainsaw and can never really get it started and when she does , we get a cheap "Money Shot" of a scene! (You can even tell the chainsaw is not running but you can still hear the sound of it!) lol And by then the so-called hero,Miller, had dispatched most of the zombie anyways. And about this hero, who I could barely understand cause he's like trying to sound like the "poor man's" version of Kurt Russell's Snake Plisskin and Christian Bale's Batman at the same time! He even tries cutting his hair and putting a bandana a la Rambo! lol Not believable or funny for one minute.(Weird trivia: There is an extended scene on DVD where the hero Miller and Goth chick are having a conversation and he does not have that weird accent or that weird voice at all and actually sounds normal!? What the hell?!) lolAnother annoying and painful to watch scene was with the actor( if he can be called that) playing the bouncer/security guy in the bar. Thank goodness they killed him quick cause he could not act for nothing! I mean I give everybody a 'A' for effort but they better have other jobs because as actors/writers/directors, they are not gonna make it. The only decent performance I got somewhat because he has a more natural way of acting, was by the actor playing "Mark" (Michael Empson). With time and way better roles to showcase himself, this guy could have a chance later on.

Was just awful. The blood looked like tomato juice and the acting was god awful. Who ever made this was a moron. If you want a good film watch Quarantine 2 or REC. After the first few minutes I turned it off. I rented this film from family Video thinking "Sounds Good". I was horribly wrong. Seriously this film had to be a joke because it sucked so bad. I bet a bunch of monkeys could come up with a better zombie film. The worst part is they are coming out with a sequel to this piece of trash. Now time for some random stuff because I can't think of anything else. I bet REC Genesis will be better. When will the directors learn?

I can handle my fair share of "cheese", but this one just sucks on any meter. Terrible acting, terrible script and horrible directing make Zombie Apocalypse one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I really had a problem sitting through this mess of a movie. The zombies were not even scary. I was even rooting for the zombies. I was hoping they would kill everyone else off before the first 15 minutes and the movie would just end. It really seemed like a gang of friends with some camcorders just went to some abandoned buildings out in the woods and just did a weekend take. I rented this at my local video store. It was on the new release section next to Zombieland. I am going to give them a hard time for having this on the new release section.
