Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
RipDelight This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.
Ava-Grace Willis Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
Erica Derrick By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
anselmdaniel 30 Rock Season OneThis review contains spoilers for season one.30 Rock is a television series taking place in the 30 Rockefeller building in New York. The series is written and stars Tina Fey as Liz Lemon, a show manager in charge of the new Tracy Jordan show. The series is a comedy that features the likes of Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, and Alec Baldwin. The season primarily focuses on Liz Lemon and her interactions with her coworkers. The season does a good job with introducing the setting and characters. Although it is the case that Liz Lemon can be overbearing at times, I enjoyed her character overall. Tina Fey plays the character well. One of the surprises I enjoyed was Jack Donaghy played by Alec Baldwin. The two character's arc in this season was how they were opposites. I enjoyed this dynamic a lot and loved how the two actors had natural chemistry in their lines and delivery. Some of the flaws were that some characters do not get much of a chance to develop. The writer character feel bland as they were not focused on too much. The season does feel like it is playing it safe. The directing is blad overall but does its job as a situational comedy.Overall I would recommend the first season of 30 Rock.30 Rock Season TwoThis review contains spoilers for the second season of 30 Rock. The second season of 30 Rock starts with the cast and crew of The Girly Show coming off of a summer hiatus. Much of the season's episodes do not support a long story arc. The episodes are often self-contained stories that can stand on their own. Some of the plot-lines in this season include Jack Donaghy dating a liberal Congresswoman named C.C. Tracy deals with problems in his marriage. Jenna must deal with her obesity problem. The second season of 30 Rock feels more structured than the first season. Now that the audience knows the characters, the writing can be more wild and incorporate each of the characters better. There are a lot of highlight episodes here such as Jack Donaghy's falling for the liberal Congresswoman, Jack Donaghy competing with Devon Banks, Dennis Duffy being a local hero, and sandwich day. The writing as a whole is much improved over the first season even with the Writers Strike going on.The season is much shorter than the first season at fifteen episodes instead of the twenty-one episodes of season one. This is fine since the episodes of the second season are of high quality.I would recommend 30 Rock season two.30 Rock Season ThreeThis review contains spoilers for the third season of 30 Rock.Season three of 30 Rock was broadcast on NBC from 2008 to 2009. The season begins following the epilogue of the second season. Tracy has published his pornographic video game to high acclaim. Jack Donaghy attempts to get his job title back. Liz wants to adopt a baby. Jenna begins work on a Janis Joplin-like character.Season three of 30 Rock is first and foremost fun and funny. Although the show is not incredibly well directed, all of the episodes are well-edited and shot decently. I did not care as much about the season-long story arcs in this season as much as I did about season two's story arcs. These arcs felt less engaging except for Jack Donaghy's but this is due to Alec Baldwin's natural charisma in the role. The episodes are much tighter in their stories and episodes than ever before which makes each episode much more engaging. The season has many great stand-alone episodes. These focus on the characters' strengths and when the show does this, it is at its strongest. The season does start off strong and it ideas begin to lose engagement towards the end.I felt that the second season was much stronger than the third season. After the first episodes, the season becomes more wild and stand-alone.Overall I would recommend 30 Rock season three.30 Rock Season FourThis review contains spoilers for the fourth season of 30 Rock.30 Rock season four takes place sometime after the third season. The fourth season has the same approach as the last seasons. There are story arcs for each of the characters. Most of the episodes concern random plot threads. The story arcs that span the entire season are really fun in this season. Liz Lemon gets a fun story arc concerning her relationships and Wesley Snipes. NBC is purchased by the fictional company called Kabletown. Jack Donaghy is involved with two women that he is interested in. Tracy Morgan tries to achieve the Emmy, Grammy, Academy, and Tony (E.G.O.T) awards. Jenna is involved in a relationship with a drag queen. This season has a slow start with the story focusing on a strike and Liz Lemon's book, Dealbreakers. The season gets more engaging and more funny as time goes on. Once the story arcs are in place, the season becomes much stronger.Liz Lemon's relationship with Wesley Snipes is incredibly funny and Martin Sheen's performance as Wesley Snipes is great. This story does not appear until about halfway through the season with the fourteenth episode. I enjoyed his this story began with Liz at the dental office as well as its resolution. The Kabletown purchase of NBC is fun to watch. New Kabletown executives are brought in and these executives are a treat to watch. This plot-line also ties in with Jack Donaghy's plot of the two women he is interested in. I loved this plot-line as it led to many close situations that Jack had to fast-talk his way out of. Alec Baldwin's performance is great this season.I would recommend 30 Rock season four. The season's smaller plot-lines are enjoyable but not as fun as the previous ones.30 Rock Season FiveThe below contains spoilers for the fifth season of 30 Rock.30 Rock's fifth season continues where the fourth season left off. The fourth season saw Liz Lemon enter into a relationship with Carol Burnett, played by Matt Damon. Jack Donaghy marries Avery Jessup played by Elizabeth Banks. Jack Donaghy also meets with his boss Hank Hooper and his future competition in Kaylee Hooper, played by Chloe Grace Moretz. Tracy Morgan continues pursuing his E.G.O.T.The fifth season does not have as many plot-lines as the fourth season and it has one more episode with 23 episodes versus the 22 in the fourth season. The plot-lines in this season are incredibly funny. This season felt more refined and much more funny to watch. There are definitely more guest stars in this season. Even the random episodes in this season felt more focused and fun to watch.Liz Lemon's relationship with Carol Burnett takes about half of the season. This plot-line is incredibly funny and it kept my attention throughout the season. I liked how the plot-line was resolved. Both Tina Fey and Matt Damon had enjoyable chemistry on the screen.Jack Donaghy's marriage to Avery Jessup is fun to watch. This plot-line did get stale. The ending to the plot-line was much more exciting. The better plot-line that Jack Donaghy got was his rivalry with Hank Hooper's daughter, Kaylee Hooper. Both Alec Baldwin and Chloe Grace Moretz do a great job here and this story arc is incredibly enjoyable. I loved watching both of these characters as they try to outplay each other.Tracy Morgan's quest for an E.G.O.T. is fun to watch. His complete story feels fulfilling.Overall I would recommend 30 Rock's fifth season. The season is stronger than the fourth season and the characters are given more focused story-lines. The only downside is some of the other characters are not given fun story arcs.30 Rock Season SixThe below contains spoilers for the sixth season of 30 Rock.30 Rock's sixth season takes place sometime after the fifth season. Jack Donaghy's wife, Avery Jessup, is taken hostage by North Korea. Jack attempts to get her back through various means. Liz Lemon seeks a new relationship. Kenneth slides on the corporate ladder. Jenna's relationship with Paul gets more serious. This sixth season is definitely one of the weaker seasons of 30 Rock. The season's stories are not as strong as the story arcs of the previous seasons. Ifelt that 30 Rock was much stronger with its more focused season long story-lines. The season has much more smaller stories here and it focuses more on the newer case members. The smaller stories are still enjoyable and the character dynamics are as fun to watch as they were in the past. The bigger story arcs are missing and the season can feel like it is meandering. For fans of the series, this is fine as the season can be enjoyed in its full episode length of 23 episodes before it heads into its last season.I would recommend the sixth season of 30 Rock. The season prepares the viewers for the seventh and last season of 30 Rock.30 Rock Season SevenThe below contains spoilers for the seventh season of 30 Rock. The seventh and final season of 30 Rock resolves all of the plot threads from the sixth season. The plot points are fun to watch in this last season. I had a great time watching and saying goodbye to the characters. This last season is bittersweet. I enjoyed the shortened length of thirteen episodes as every plot point headed towards its resolution. Fans will see Jack Donaghy square off against Kaylee Hooper as Hank Hooper begins to reitre. Liz Lemon and Criss enter into a rocky stage in their relationship. Tracy begins to create other shows and films with his studio. Kenneth becomes involved with Hazel. This season did get more involved and engaged as the season barrelled towards its conclusion. The last episode is a great episode that touched on almost every character and story arc.I highly recommend the seventh and last season of 30 Rock. This season is a great capstone to 30 Rock and every important character returns for the last season.
IkhwanArif Tina Fey is funny. She is the funniest woman in the last 2 decades. She's funnier than Julia Louis Dreyfuss, definitely funnier than Amy Schumer and even funnier than her close friend Amy Poehler.30 Rock is definitely an entertaining and humorous show. The dialogue is ridiculous and witty and every actor, especially Fey herself, Alec Baldwin, Jack McBrayer, played their part with enthusiasm and commitment. There is a glaring, blinding flaw with the show. The elements of SJW and Radical Feminism, though not directly apparent, is pervasive. Considering the time-line, it's not too far-fetched to imagine that, either this show was portraying the collective left-wing regressive liberal agenda that was brewing, or, it is the catalyst that propel SJW and Radical Feminism to the mainstream.Since this show, Misandry, especially the ridicule, hatred, vilification and discrimination towards white, heterosexual males became culturally acceptable, because it is convenient, because taking responsibility over your own life is somehow the fault of the patriarchy.Yes, it's all a joke back then, but it's no longer funny now.
Ramalingam R First I am going to start with the answer for why 30 Rock? The reason I started to watch this show was TINA FEY. I have seen some of her movies like Sisters, Date Night, This Is Where I Leave You, Admission etc. I loved her original acting in an impressive way. This made me to know more about her. I googled about her and came to know that she is one of the best writers alive and known for her work on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live (1998-2006) and for creating acclaimed series 30 Rock (2006–2013) and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015–present). SNL is bit of a vast to give a shot so I went with 30 Rock for which she was the creator, writer and actor as well, so it's a jackpot for me. 30 Rock - a situation comedy loosely based on Fey's experiences at SNL. In the series, Fey portrays the head writer of a fictional sketch comedy series. As of her acting part no doubts, she was flawless, spontaneous, well driven character. The best thing of this show is her writing and the importance for the show's crew - pillars of the show. Whatever your mind set is, when you are watching this show you will forget everything and enjoy to the core. I always liked that thing when even a small character or part is given a detailed attention, in that case this show proved more than anything. Trust me you will know what I am saying in season finale. Remember this part. Each and every character has a great importance. Some of you even like Tracy Jordan or Kenneth more than any of the characters in this show. I'm having an empty feeling to lose my days with this awesomely dense comedy. Sometimes funny, sometimes brilliant, sometimes emotional - too good to say a satirical TV sitcom. This show is packed with spontaneity, stupidity, love search, work relationship - friendship. It has got some wonderful cameo appearances unlike any series on television like Oprah, Jon Hamm, and even more throughout the series. I don't want to ruin the surprise. You can also find Tina Fey's Spouse and her child too. The struggled show for its rating and critical acclaim has ended up with winning several major awards (including Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2007, 2008, and 2009 and nominations for every other year it ran), and achieving the esteemed top ranking on myriad critics' year-end best of 2006-2013 lists. On July 14, 2009, the series was nominated for 22 Primetime Emmy Awards, the most in a single year for a comedy series. Over the course of the series, it was nominated for 103 Primetime Emmy Awards and won 16, in addition to numerous other nominations and wins from other awards shows, refer wiki for more. After watching The Great season finale of this series I came to read the following in web and was no surprise to me here it is - 30 Rock is regarded as a landmark series. Its series finale has been named as one of the greatest in television history by several publications. In 2013, the Writers Guild of America named 30 Rock the 21st best-written television series of all time. I always liked Tina Fey, after 30 Rock she become one my favorite person in the world. I am genuinely feeling so very sad for missing Liz Lemon, Tracy Jordan, Jack Donaghy, Jenna Maroney, Kenneth Parcell, Frank, Pete, Toofer, Grizz, Dotcom, Lutz, Jonathan and even more. Felt like am a part of the 30 Rock family throughout my watching. I will be missing this Wonderful Family.
bentalianos This Show is a bit of an oddball. It's one of the most clever shows I have had the pleasure of watching, but it has little to do with the plot of the show (which is great nonetheless). What makes this show great is how just how much sly humor they were able to pack into a 20 minute show. It's appealing because of it's zany yet clever sense of humor. You'll find it believable, and not believable at the same time. Tina Fey is great at writing humor that pokes fun at everyone without being offensive. (although now and again it might rub you the wrong way) Some of the dialogue on this show is downright hilarious, like pause the TV so you don't pee yourself when you laugh hilarious. The truth about this show is that it's clever in a way that a lot of TV shows aren't. It does a great job of just poking fun at everything. It's also just really clever. Tina is cool.
