The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

Yeah, so maybe I'm a bit biased? I don't know. I really like this show. I'm a 17 year old, so I'm a bit older than their target audience, but I enjoy the show. The pairings are sweet and the jokes are funny with a bit of maturity to them but not so much that I can't watch it with my little brother and sister. It's got an interesting animation style that you don't see too often and the characters are endearing. If you're not into cartoons to begin with, this isn't a show for you. I watch a lot of cartoons, I find them to relieve a lot of stress. So if you want to spend some time with your little siblings or kids, this is a cute show to watch. I recommend it for children between 8 and 12. (and for the random 16 or 17 year old like myself that likes cartoons. ha ha)

I like the fact that this cartoon goes places other cartoons usually don't. Multiple story lines, a little "mature" humor. It's a refreshing break from the rather dull cartoons you'll see on American television. Also, the appealing character designs and personalities make me actually "care" about what happens to the characters. I don't really care what happens to somebody like "Johnny Test" for example. Another thing I like is that this show pushes the limits. Too many cartoons these days are afraid to show anything remotely offensive, but 6teen has implied cursing, pixelated nudity, and, well--you just have to watch. I've noticed Canadian television programs always seem to go farther than their American counterparts in that sense. You can also notice a slight Canadian accent in the characters when they pronounce words like "out".

I love this show! I didn't start watching it until last year (2006), but my kids and I love to catch it when it's on. It isn't meant for young audiences, that's true, hence the title '6TEEN'. One of the fun elements of the show is that it's Canadian, which is a nice change, and the different personalities of the characters is a good mix. The teens in this show are pretty close friends, guys and girls, which didn't happen when I was in high school. The dating thing always got in the way. I think the way some of the teen girls talk they've hit right on the money, though. I've stood behind girls like that in the mall and it sounds exact. Overall, this show is a good, fun way to spend a half hour of your day.

My kids started watching this show a year ago and they really liked it. I happened to be nearby one day and started watching it with them. It is a really great show for kids. It is funny and entertaining but it also has a lot of life lessons in it. How to treat your friends, how to stand up for your friends and how to stand up against them if you think they need it. How to decide what you should do in future situations (my kids are younger than the kids on the show). I think it is terrific and am glad it is a Canadian show. We need more shows for kids that aren't all noise and screaming and flash. I would recommend this show to just about anyone. My friends have kids that watch this show as well and they all really like it including the mothers.
