The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

Batman Beyond may not be seen in as high regard as Batman: The Animated Series or Justice League, but I personally think it's a highly respectful and entertaining continuation of the character millions of people have come to know and love like a longtime friend. It's a good sequel to Batman: TAS and Superman: TAS, and it took risks like having another kid take the stage front and center as the Batman character, in the form of Terry McGinnis.Since it debuted in 1999 it's been faithfully followed by fans of the wider DC Animated Universe (DCAU), fans have sometimes universally agreed on the show's quality while others have criticised it for not feeling too much like a Batman show. I'm with the former. It's a perfectly watchable TV show that keeps the atmosphere of Batman: TAS though with a Blade Runner-sequel aestethic added to it and arguably makes it more appealing to younger audiences. It's a fine show that's deserving of being part of the DCAU canon.

Batman beyond is a amazing show. but its not for kids. characters have guns and knifes. a guy falls down a building and falls into some acid and his limbs fall off. the joker kills people. and it has a more mature plot to it. with that being said batman beyond is not for kids and is a very good show for teens and adults.

This show is a rather good spin off show of the Batman series. It depicts a teen who discovers Bruce Wayne's secret identity and ends up donning the batsuit himself. Granted, it is a more hi-tech version. This show was rather good, for a future hero type setting, as I never cared for the marvel comic future versions. Here you get a new Batman, but he is guided by the old. I like that they included Bruce Wayne in an extended role for this show, though I do prefer regular Batman this series was a fun watch thanks to his inclusion and tutelage. The villains are a nice mixture of some old foes and some new ones. They have an excellent story involving Mr. Freeze, it always amazes me how well the cartoon did on this character and how awful the movie portrayed him. Then there is a glimpse of Bane, and he just is not quite the same anymore. The new ones are rather good too, one being a guy who is sort of radioactive and a strange gal who is a bit like Clayface in that she can morph, but rather than the huge behemoth this one is an agile villain made up of ink. There was also a very cool episode featuring the Justice League of the future too. So it was nice to see future Gotham, though it does look a bit to futuristic at times, my guess things will not be all that different in 40 years. Fun show and a very nice glimpse into the future of Bruce Wayne and Batman.

Okay, I don't think it is as good as Batman:The Animated Series, which is a perfect example of how an animated series should be made. But it is better than The Batman, that was okay, but this is better. Batman Beyond is not as dark, as complex or as edgy as any Batman I have seen, but it is intelligent, interesting and smart. The animation is well above average, the music is wonderful, the characters especially the villains and Bruce Wayne are interesting, the stories are well-woven, the writing is intelligent and the voice acting particularly that of Kevin Conroy is dynamic. Will Friedle slightly lacks the edge and grit of Conroy, but he is appealing in a way. Overall, this is a good show, ambitious, but surprisingly intelligent and smart, it is a shame though it didn't last longer. 9/10 Bethany Cox
