Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

The writing in season one was weak, but the idea was decent and with some improved writing could have been a decent show. Season two however lost everything that made the show worth watching and tried to make a halfassed comedic farce with a new characters (and loss of old ones with no explanation) that fell flat at every turn. They never did 'jobs' anymore and it became this awkward show centered around the 'new boss' who was eccentric and quirky and had nothing to do with the basic premise of the show.
Season two's follies are the shining example of how to murder a show.

Starts so well, the cast seem well balanced from the start. The first series by far one of the nerdiest geekfests I have seen for ages and I loved it. If you like comedy that goes bang bang bang, this ones for you. So many references to sci fi done in so many really clever and obvious ways. I must admit It took me a while to get to grips with series two. The new cast members and the dynamics they bring didn't quite work at first for me, but it does improve.Quite frankly the last episode had me in pain laughing so much I watched it again due to missing so much due to my own laughter. I hope this helps. NB to fully appreciate this series you need to love purile, fun, comedy with loads of sci fi references. Being a bit nerdy might almost help, Enjoy!

The first season was great, hugely hilarious. Great characters that all worked together well. Once Megan Mullally joined the crew and Odette Annable left in season two it went downhill so fast it was almost blinding. The whole premise of "Breaking In" has disappeared. I don't think the crew has broken in to anywhere in season two and Megan is worse than she was on Will and Grace. I couldn't stand her character on that and she is worse on this. The running gag with Christain Slaters secret rooms have also gone. What a way to kill a show that started so well and had so much promise. They shouldn't have ruined what started as a great formula.

I don't find Breaking In to be as funny as some of the other reviewers. Don't worry there's no spoilers since there's nothing to talk about. There are cheap gags and bad jokes but the one thing that makes me shun the show is the stiff, unoriginal characters. I usually love a premise like this but I just found myself comparing to Leverage the whole time. The cast has the same kind 'team' origin as Leverage (i.e the Mastermind and Hacker) but seemingly one dimensional. I found myself bored with Cameron, annoyed with Cash and the rest of the team; the only person that was worth staying tuned in for is Christian Slater. Actually he was the only reason why I checked it out. I would recommend the show if you enjoy...I don't know actually. Sorry to be harsh but it is truly terrible...My advice, go find Leverage it's 10x funnier.
