The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

Ilana Glazer is a true genius, taking nothing away from her partner-in-slime; Abbi Jacobson who is superb in her own rights, Glazer has that X-factor I have not seen in a comic-actor in decades, even more than Fey, McCarthy, Shannon,Wiig, or even Radner. Broad City, a mature comedy that does develop a topic every episode ( with splinter skits), is refreshingly original, edgy, risky, modern, and always hilarious. Very well written, great guest stars, unusual predicaments, and well paced/edited/directed. Very infectious : always leaving me wanting more and eager to see the next show. I hope this has legs and runs for a while, definitely one of those series Im going to get on blu-ray when its over.

Why is everyone hating on these gorgeous, hilarious and strong women? I get their humour and it's subtle and definitely not everyone's style. These women just keep getting better and better in my opinion. I love everything about this show and like every show ever, there's bound to be the odd episode that deviates from the hilarity that once was. I try not to be hard on women who are making in it whole heartedly and consciously because we need more of these types in the film/TV industry and these two prove it's possible.

It's just your average female-oriented and pandering show - actresses that are clearly in their 30's are playing 20 year olds, as if it's believable, the show isn't funny whatsoever and on top of all is mindnummingly boring and stale. It's clear that they're on a budged but they could have tried a bit harder by sprucing an event and a scenery change here and there. The only good thing about it is that they had Steve Ogg appear briefly in the 4th episode of the 1st season, which made the show suck a bit less, but only for less than 5 minutes, and he was gone.I'm sure average uninspired crap like that, featuring unattractive, vulgar and repulsive females with no moral standards really goes well with the average home-sitting unattractive female audience they're trying to pander to, but I bet people who are slightly above averagely intelligent will get bored with this show quickly and move on to something worth watching, which makes sense.

This show has potential to be a really good show. I love the characters, the feel of living and being in NYC. The problem is the show is just not funny. I have to admit I got hooked on the show, but not because it was funny. The first episode, season 1 got a laugh out of me. This had me thinking this will end up being a good show. I kept waiting and watching. So many crazy things happen on the show that I found myself not being able to wait to see what happens next. Still not funny though. I finally got bored after watching season 2 episode 7. Just didn't care enough about what was going to happen next anymore. I'm guess this show is funny to some, but to not to me. The timing on the comedic situations are all wrong. Kind of like SNL.
