Synopsis

This spectacular five-part series, presented by Tony Robinson, investigates the history of natural disasters, from the planet's beginnings to the present, putting a new perspective on our existence – that we are the product of catastrophe. Using the latest CGI effects and featuring scientific experts, the series reveals how the evolution of life on Earth has been shaped by lethal catastrophes that have caused mass extinctions, almost to the point of wiping out life altogether.

TeenzTen An action-packed slog
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Isbel A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
mike-ryan455 I really enjoyed this series. It had so many fun things in it. The world ending, over and over and over. Tony Robinson's droll yet dreadfully comic narration as he presented it. Plus it was even true.OK, I am docunuts. I am a sucker for a good fact based story. But this really is one of my favorites. How many ways has this planet almost ended? This series details them, and gives the hard science to back up that they happened, how they happened and when they happened. It's very accessible and is at a level and a quality that I think the whole family can enjoy. If you or your little scientists have a bit of a nerdy streak then you all should enjoy this show.
