Truly Dreadful Film

I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

I've been in love with this TV series since it first started! Love Rebecca Bunch! She's totally the wild and crazy side that every girls have. Her character's so realistic in each episodes that it didn't seem like acting at all! I was kinda sad how season two ended but I'm really excited for season three!! I hope that Rebecca will have a thing with Nathaniel, the evil handsome boss from season two. I hope to see Greg again, I hope he will come back to fight for Rebecca. I believed that Greg and Rebecca had such a great chemistry in season one! I hope Josh will deserve something that's not so bad but not great since he dumped Rebecca at the wedding in the end of season two. I hope to see more Valencia and Rebecca working as a team together but not fighting one man. Rebecca and Valencia made a great team when it comes to helping each other and I would like to see that they become the best of friends! I like how Paula is so motherly to Rebecca, I hope she'll have a daughter in season three! Also, I really admired Rebacca fro stepping up when Paula's in a crisis with her husband! Rebecca was such a cool babysitter, only if I was still a little kid, I would love to have Rebecca as my babysitter!!! Ultimately, this TV show deserves a 10/10 100% ! Waiting for SEASON THREE!!!!!!

Okay, just to start with I really like this show. However season 2 has been a little harder to watch especially since Greg is no longer in the picture. In fact, according to just about every article I have read about it, he will not be returning at all to the show. I don't know about anybody else, but I quite liked the love triangle for once. It was fun and entertaining and even though Rebecca is supposedly crazy for Josh Chan, I think it would have been a good story line for her to end up with his best friend. Afterall, they fit well together and he was so head over heels for her. Sometimes actually always most often life is like that. We don't know what we have until its too late but for a show like this where anything is possible, all I ask is that you bring Greg back and lets see how life really would work out for a change. I don't think I like the show without Greg. Again another show that builds you up only to disappoint you by killing off the most favorite characters so to speak. My rating would be higher if Greg was still in it. Bring Greg back!

This show is bold, quirky and has genuinely enjoyable songs and jokes at times. But what makes me detached from this show and makes me unable to give it a higher rating is the awfulness of the actual characters.Rachel Bloom is a fantastic actress, extremely likable but her character is nothing short of horrid at times. She is selfish, ridiculous and even her best moments are motivated by stupid reasons. Her 'love interest' Josh, played by Vincent Fernandez III, is lacking in both charisma and acting skills and their chemistry is basically non-existent. The actor that plays Greg, Santino Fontana is the best out of the bunch by a long shot (other than Ms.Bloom). The shenanigans played by the main character and her friend are worthy of a restraining order and not in a cute sense. They're adults and it just does not transcend as likable in any sense. With better character development this show could be really special, but currently the mental plot holes and bad acting just make it less than mediocre.

Some of this show is pretty hard to watch especially when someone as beautiful and talented like Ms. Bloom lowers herself to win the favor of 2 jokers who remind me of people I smoked pot with back when I lived in West Covina. The cast is very talented, although I wish she would give glimpses of the real West Covina that I know. I like that she is focusing on the underrepresented Filipino community and I hope she hires more Fil/Ams, still this isn't the West Covina I know, the drug use, the crazy ex boyfriends, gangs, street races, back yard parties, bbq's etc., West Covina isn't too far from Pomona,(I'm not knocking The P-Town) so I'd like her to include some of the violence I witnessed growing up there. I also think she should focus more on slap stick humor instead of all this self deprecation. She doesn't look broken, she's cooky, funny, but thats not enough to help define the narrative what her show is about. I know real crazy ex girlfriends, and she is on the borderline of "not that interested in you but I will try anyway." I guess I went in expecting the genius comedy of Laverne and Shirley, but I digress, the show could stand some improvement. If you like musicals, with talented performers this show is a must watch, but if you grew up in the West Co during the 90's give the show a grain of salt. Peace!
