Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
jordancooler Gary Sinise is an amazing Actor. I love watching CSI:NY. Gary Sinise is hilarious in some of his movies yet serious in others. He is an inspiration to all. I Love watching Gary Sinise on Television. He looks great for his age. I hope he works in more movies soon. I always watch movies with him over and over again. Its amazing how he is able to be such an amazing Actor. I LOVE Gary Sinise. He speaks with enthusiasm in many of his movies he stars in. His Work in CSI: NY blew me away. It was not a surprise he was a main character for all of these years. I learned a lot about how acting is supposed to seem. Whether or not he was in Of Mice And Men or in CSI: Crime scene Investigation his work is always pleasing to view. I learn a lot every time I watch him on Television or NetFlicks. He works great with his Co-workers and is very humble. He's smart and cunning in all of his movies.
PartialMovieViewer Excellent cast, very good directing and well written. Like most detective shows, not only is there a weekly story…but one is always dragged into the ever-obvious undertow of the 'soap-type' REAL story. Eh – I am too old and my attention span really sucks to have any interest in some sneaky ongoing tale. You know the ones I am talking about. You are watching a really, really good show – OK? And of course you think this is the last scene of the last show of the season. It has to be…everyone is chuckling and slapping each other on the back yelling, 'good job', or 'nice shot', or 'you deserve a raise.' Of course we fade to the last commercial – oh wait – it is not the last commercial. The show is still on and then Kate gets shot right between the eyes…worst thing that ever happened in a show. OOPS…wrong show. I have a hard time getting over that scene…broke my heart. Sorry about such a terrible digression, and amazingly, this has nothing to do with CSI New York. I liked this show the first time I saw it. I immediately became a true-blue fan. Mix some Gary Sinise with a dab of NY and a splash of a super cast…all supported superbly by excellent directing and super writing…how can you go wrong?
Paul_Rudd_has_a_sweet_ass I like the original a lot, CSI Miami lost it's appeal to me when Speedle died but CSI NY stays constantly appealing to me mostly due to the appeal of the characters. I've always been a huge fan of Gary Sinise and liked Eddie Cahill a lot in Friends but I'd honestly never heard of the other cast members.I'm surprised I haven't seen Carmine Giovinazzo in more things as he is an excellent actor and makes Danny Messer incredibly likable and appealing. Melina Kanakaredes' Stella Bonasera is also very likable and absolutely stunning. Adam I can only describe as cute and fairly geeky. As for Lindsay, although I can't say I like her a great deal I like what she has bought out in Danny's character. My only complaints are the loss of two great characters, Aiden and Detective Angell. I thought it was unnecessary especially to kill Angell as she was beginning to become a more frequently used character and it seems her death is an excuse for Don Flack to have a meltdown.I look forward to what season 6 brings. If it stays as good as the previous 5 I can only hope there are 6 more.
Welshfilmfan It just goes to show, how successful the Original CSI was to have two other spin off's - Miami and NY, while still going strong itself, I prefer Miami & Las Vegas to this purely because I find Grissom & Horatio, that little more likable than Mac & The plot's of NY are rather too far fetched but they're minor complaints, on the whole it's another well made, acted, scripted & thrilling series with beautiful people catching killers in style.it's now in it's 5th series and still going strongIt also goes to show there's no shame in failing Hollywood Stars turning to TV.
