Matcollis This Movie Can Only Be Described With One Word.
AboveDeepBuggy Some things I liked some I did not.
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Janae Milner Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
jllewell Usual network morons... they ALWAYS cancel anything worth watching. If it's anything more complicated than 'See Spot run.', they don't like it... it doesn't have enough ratings *wail wail* *sook sook*! Well, duh... that might be because the network execs were too dilly to get it, and therefor never marketed it to the right audience in time. Do ya think?!?Probably because they all sit around in the board rooms saying, ' Hey, I know! let's get the Poindexters in to make something smart that we can write off for tax!' And then they go back to watching the Kardashians, or Big Brother. At least that's what it always looks like... and thus they chop off the series that are going to make them real money in the long run. They show it at stupid times, or in competition with something that the brain-dead will watch in force.BTW... this series is great! What there is of it.
amitkacker It is brilliantly written, directed and acted. The show is awesome. It has too many twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Don't go by the overall ratings, i seriously don't know why they are so low. It is much more interesting than Breaking Bad or Homeland. I am a huge fan of Dan Brown books and this show borrows a lot from his style of writing and story. Jason Issacs is a good choice to play the lead and is aptly assisted by other casts. if there is any weakness, i would say that the producers could have given us more episodes in this season. The scenes of Jerusalem look authentic even though they have been shot in Croatia. Had the directors slowed the pace a bit to make the series for 12 episodes, the picture would have been clearer. But nonetheless, its brilliant. Miss it at your own peril.
garlandlahr In snowy Norway a strange ritual is carried out involving a cow, overseen by a fervently religious Jewish sect. In Jerusalem a dig is proceeding beneath the Dome of the Rock. In New Mexico a child is about to have his thirteenth birthday in an isolated compound. He has lived there all his life. He has never set foot beyond its walls."Dig" is enjoyably silly yet engrossing thanks to the fine cast giving this hokum much more credibility than it probably deserves. Heroes and villains alike have more depth than we are accustomed to seeing in this kind of show.Jason Isaacs and Ori Pfeffer are fine together as the Mis-matched cops who initially hate each other ( you know the rest ) whilst trying to solve a murder and stumbling upon a global conspiracy that could be very, very, serious.Anne Heche is especially good, bringing a wry humor and resourcefulness to a role traditionally limited to giving the hero 24 hours to solve the case. Richard E Grant is rather underused. The Jerusalem and Norway locations give the story a big-budget international feel and a refreshing change from conventional shows. Each episode moves at cracking pace with slickly handled action heading towards an often surprising cliff-hanger.The denouement however is less fulfilling. The story strands don't come together as the build-up suggested they would. The motivations of some villains are never satisfactorily explained. One potential revelation, heavily foreshadowed throughout the season, is simply abandoned. (Some viewers may feel deceived.)One main character is summarily dispatched off screen, others are simply never seen again, suggesting a clumsy rush to the finish line by the writers. That said, "Dig" is consistently entertaining fayre, marred only by a weak finale.
jeomo It hasn't lived up to the hype, but that's why they call it hype.It has a reasonably complex and sophisticated plot, so those who had trouble keeping up with the plot of first Mission Impossible, or who got stressed watching 16 Monkeys because its plot wasn't intended to be kept up with, should probably pass on this one.It moves a bit slow, but that gives you time to ponder what just happened, and it picks up speed slowly from episode to episode. I didn't invest any effort in trying to guess what was going to happen next. With that mindset, a few developments took me by mild surprise and one didn't. I would not describe the plot in general as either imaginative or predictable. The acting is respectable. I thought Lauren Ambrose was especially compelling as Debbie. All in all, it's kept me interested. I just watched the 9th episode and am looking forward to the final episode with moderate expectations. Given how many things were left unresolved at the end of the 9th, I'm expecting it will wrap things up too hastily, but perhaps I'll be mildly surprised again.
