Jemima It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.

SlyGuy21 It's amazing how shows like this can have such an influence on you years later. I remember watching new episodes of this show as a kid, not realizing that it was shaping my own sense of hunor. The humor in this is strange, a mix of slapstick, stupidity, and cruel humor. While some might find it more mean than funny, it has the opposite effect on me. It shows that kids can be dumb, can overreact to things, and how kids can be cruel. Aside from that, it managed to grow and build on itself. Season 1 gave the Eds the same personality, but by Season 2, they had grown. Double D's the smart one, Ed's the dumb one, and Eddy's the selfish one. Their characters bounce off each other so well, combined with the other kids like Rolf, Jonny, Kevin, Nazz, Jimmy, and even Sarah. They even changed it up for the final season and put the kids in school. It added another layer and environment to the show. While some episodes are weaker than others, they're all still watchable, and that's enough for me after watching this for so long.There's no real lesson to these episodes, just mindless entertainment that manages to still make me laugh 20 years later. What lessons did I learn from "Ed, Edd n Eddy"? Kids can be cruel, and human suffering can be hilarious.

aaronjamesmaximus This show is so awesome it makes you want to scam pigeons label everything in your room act ocd wear a hat that so no one will ever find out whats under it, eat buttered toast, gravy and jawbreakers. Basically in most episode the ed boys try to scam the kids to get their money to pay for jawbreakers and its awesome. Now they do vary up the episode so they're all different even if they all share similar plot points like scamming kids sometimes a particular kid, eddy being a greedy but lovable jerk, double d creates all the inventions and devices for scams, ed or one of the other eds (usually ed) messes everything up, if eds get jawbreakers or money they lose them, and the nasty kanker sisters kiss the eds to their horror. Still one of the best overall CN original show ever though(along with samurai jack) but of course Batman TAS takes the top rung best show on CN overall. There's also Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Metalocalypse and some other early early 2000's adult swim shows. Anyway Ed Edd n Eddy is awesome.

prestonwardcondra The laydown of Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy comes down to this. All of the characters pretty much hate each other and that is my biggest fault overall with this cartoon.During the first few seasons of the show, the characters seem to have some common sense and some profound respect for each other.Sarah had a crush on Double D, Ed wasn't as dumb as a rock as the series progressed on, Kevin wasn't so oppressive towards to the Ed's as he was near the series conclusion, etc.Towards the end, it seemed Double D was the ONLY smart kid of the whole group and when you think about it, none of the characters grow up and mature until the beloved "Big Picture Show" special which wrapped everything up pretty well.We still never found what was underneath Double D's hat and while at the time period, this show was on (1999-2009) I thought there was better CN shows to watch like The Powerpuff Girls.In all, EEn'E is a decent attraction for those looking for a good cartoon watch to kill off some time.

lloydnash222 When I first saw the promo of this show, I thought it was gonna suck due to the animation and would end after five episodes. But something in my mind told me not to judge anything you haven't seen. So I decided to give it a chance and as soon as I saw the first episode, I was amazed at how well-written the plots were and how clever the jokes were. I love all three of the main characters:Ed, the dumbest, but strongest member of the trio who has an affinity for monster movies and gravy. He is also abused by his younger sister Sarah. He was my favorite of the trio, and the funniest.Edd (A.K.A. Double D), The smartest of the trio. His parents communicate with him by sticky notes and even have him doing a prolific number of chores. He is also obsessed with staying clean and has a sarcastic manner. He's not funny, because he isn't supposed to be funny. He's supposed to be a character we can sympathize with. Ed is my favorite, but out of the trio, I relate to Edd much more since he's the only character of the show with any common since.Eddy, the leader of the trio. Is very miserly and wants cash and jawbreakers so much. He is the one who conceives the scams to trick the others out of their money. Okay, so Eddy may be the most dislikable character to the others, but he's still pretty funny, and I love how desperate he gets just to get a single quarter.Other characters include Ed's spoiled sister Sarah, her weak friend Jimmy, the eccentric Jonny, his wooden friend Plank, the West Indian immigrant Rolf, the jock Kevin, the blonde girl Nazz, and The Kanker sisters. The show relies on many subtle humor and fourth-wall breaks. This is by far the funniest show ever. Along with Animaniacs, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, and Johnny Bravo, this show deserves a place in the slapstick hall of fame. These are my top 5 Cartoon Network shows of all time1.
