Dorathen Better Late Then Never
SteinMo What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.
Cem Lamb This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
Vincent S I have seen enough to write a good enough review about this movie/show. I find it to be a very cheesy poorly written script. I mean for what it is, it is not that bad though. However, there was little to no research put into this with the "Scalar drive I mean when you say it is going 5,000MPM (Miles per minute) that comes to about 8 million meters a second. The distance from the moon to the sun is about 152 Million meaning you have less then 20 seconds... More detail and refining of the little things would have made this C list TV/Movie a more enjoyable watch. Perhaps next time they might invest in someone reading the script before they start filming perhaps?
redjennger I loved it. I enjoy disaster movies especially when the plot, however thin, holds together. I would have liked to have seen a better romance between Anthony Lemke's character and character Denise Balaban. He was handsome, she was adorable, and it was sweet. Interaction among the lead characters was smooth but predictable if you weren't willing to just enjoy the ride. David James Elliot and Lemke were handsome throughout and even at 53 Elliot is so charming he could pass for 35. Yum. I constantly search for disaster movies worth watching and this one was. The only criticism I have is for the parts of the movie that tried to be more serious than necessary. Julia Ormand is beautiful, as always, but married to a man far too old for her character's appearance. And it is odd to me that the actor playing their son is a blue-eyed, snow-blond guy. **shrug** It was an entertaining way to spend a Saturday night :)
Jos Severijnse Most actors are known from other series and there for you can expect good acting. That is exactly what you get. It can be a great show if you're not to nerdy and can see past all scientific mambo jumbo. For instance plasma clouds don't travel at the speed of light, light travels in 8 minutes from the sun to earth. I found lost of these kind of 'mistakes', which takes away the 'reality'. For how real a TV show can be anyway. The story line is not very complex and is kinda easy to figure out how things evolve to it's end. The show didn't brought me to the "tip of my seat". I'd grade this as a "sit back, relax and turn of you're brain off show". Something to watch in the weekday's after a hard day working.
rickkingmusic A Canadian Production released in Sweden about an American space program? OK now! But seriously if you can wrap your head around that bit of info, you will find it to be a very good science fiction movie on the order of Independence Day. The lead actors were strong and well played by David James Elliott (as Commander Don Wincroft)and Anthony Lemke (as Dr. Craig Bakus). To sum it up without giving away any spoilers, the Earth suffers a disaster sparked by an accident aboard the maiden flight of the first commercial spaceflight to the moon and back. They technically are to fly around the moon and then come back to Earth. Of course something goes wrong and...well lets just say that it doesn't go exactly as plan. From the very beginning of the nearly three hour movie the viewer becomes engaged with the characters and engrossed in the scientific aspects of the situation. (As a side note, just before I watched this with my wife, I read an article that said that the sun could actually be detonated on purpose by us people using today's technology!)All in all, I felt it to be a great three hour film to watch with your loved one on a lazy Friday night in the middle of summer!
