The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

I really loved this series. I bought the box with the first season on impulse and enjoyed it very much, so immediately after that I got myself the second one, which was equally entertaining. I was sorry that they didn't go on with yet another season, but they did provide the last episode with a satisfying ending, so it didn't feel like something cut-off.It's about this little town next to a great lake, which during the summer turns into some sort of pleasure paradise for tourists, water-sports fans and beach-loving young people. We follow a bunch of local residents who all have their own problems and issues and who's lives get connected and intertwined. The good thing about this series is, that the problems that pop up and have to be dealt with in every episode are not as cliché nor as far-fetched as in other comparable series, but quite original and at the same time realistic. It's all done in a pretty fast pace (helped by the many shots of wake-boarding, an important feature in this series) and a very nowadays fashion, but never too much, like in other "young" series where you're forever trying to keep up with the chaotic editing. The casting for the main parts is fine. The hero of the series Jason is played by Steve Byers, who may not be the world's greatest actor but he's perfect as the boy-next-door stud with the awesome body and the soft core. The star of the show as far as I'm concerned is Jennyfer Kidd as Paige Bradshaw, the intelligent and arrogant daughter of one of the important and rich (but morally detestable) inhabitants of the town, who gradually grows into the community and becomes independent of her father. Kidd is a very gifted actress, and absolutely beautiful to boot. Her brother Lane was played by Morgan Kelly, and he's equally good. I also liked Ephraim Ellis as Danny, although his part was a bit smaller than the others and the script unfortunately turned him in the second season into a rather irritatingly self-righteous environment activist. I read some negative comments on this site on Devon Weigel as Tanya, the coke-addicted ex-model who comes back to her birthplace broke and with the tail between the legs, to start some havoc among the hormone-driven guys in the neighborhood. I don't agree, I thought she did an absolute great job! Of course she was obnoxious at times, but that's what she was supposed to be, and Weigel was equally capable of letting Tanya's vulnerability shine through and of showing her softer sides. Were there no draw-backs? Well, some of the acting was really below par, I hated every scene where Melissa Elias was in, she played so uptight and unrealistic and totally spoiled the difficult scenes with Ephraim Ellis concerning their unwanted pregnancy and later on the miscarriage. And I wasn't a particular fan of Peter Mooney, who played handsome doctor Adrian rather wooden. And the murderous and vicious Mook was played a bit too much over the top for my taste. But for the rest: great show, fun and thrilling and entertaining!!

I really love falcon beach, but most of the acting sucks! Everyone but lane, Jason and Paige have really no talent. The only reason i watch it because i want to see Jason and Paige together. Tonya gets on my nerves mainly because she thinks she is so damn hot(which is really ugly)and she thinks she's cool because she does drugs, which she couldn't act drunk or high if her life depended on it. when Danny and his girlfriend or even the parents(no one really cares about them anyways) come on i change the channel because their acting is unbelievably bad. The O.C. is of course better but still I'm hooked on Falcon Beach. i can't wait for the new season.

At first, I was like, "OOO! Another O.C.! I like that show... I can't wait until Falcon Beach comes out!" And, of course, I start getting grief from my father and my brother of how bad the show looks. And I'm sad to say this, but, they were right. In my opinion, Fox's 'The O.C.' is so much better than this! Falcon Beach is a total rip off of The O.C. and Summerland (which I don't like very much either, but thats a different story). It's a bunch of bad acting from actors no one has ever heard of, and the plot line is terrible! And could SOMEONE in this business PLEASE have an original thought?! Compared to The O.C.: They both have "Bad Boys".They both have at least one new person. They both have relationship problems. They both are set by the beach. etc.GIVE ME A BREAK!! At least the actors on The O.C. can do their job description!! Not to be rude, but I think the only reason these people were hired, is because they are pretty. I'm hoping this series will not be renewed for next year, so they will have an open position for a better show.

When I first heard this show was coming out I had many doubts about it. The main one being, another version of the O.C. I was pleasantly surprised however. This show is nothing like the O.C and had many different story lines. It is really a good show with fantastic Canadian actors and great story lines. When i found out this show was also Canadian I think it made it that much better. It isn't all that often that Canada comes out with a great television show. This really is a good show with great developing love triangles, love interests and good cliff hangers. You should really try to check it out and give it a chance, I think you will be surprised too!
