It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

I somehow ended up watching the pilote for this show. I knew it was going to be silly, hence why I gave it a try. Just to see how cringy they could make it. And I barely endured it. The cast is disappointedly terrible. They don't fit their roles at all. They feel very uncomfortable and talk like they just memorized the script. The love triangle is basically just putting three people together without any logical reasons. Basically the whole plot is cheesy. I don't recommend.

The premise of this young adult drama is interesting - an unknown girl gets cast in a big movie. The behind the scenes process of making a movie from a successful novel is fairly interesting. The production is quite glossy and attractive. It's good that they released it all at once too - easier to follow the story at your own pace. The main flaw is that the cast is insipid and bland, lacking charisma. Compared to other similar shows like the O.C., Gossip Girl, PLL, 90210 etc the cast seems to be lacking that special something that makes you want to tune in. Bella Thorne is a little wooden and doesn't show the transformation from unknown to young starlet that much. Pretty in a generic way, she isn't that special enough to carry a show like the way Mischa Barton was or Blake Lively is. Her bestie is too plain to have been an aspiring actress. The male stars Carter Jenkins and Charlie Depew look a bit hesitant and aren't cute enough - surely there are hotter guys to cast in Hollywood. Usually these kinds of shows have pretty A list grown ups to make the grown up stories interesting, like in the O.C. and Gossip Girl they had Kelly Rowan and Kelly Rutherford. In Famous in Love the grown ups look a bit B list. That cheapens the show. It's fairly watchable but it's just the players are plain.

I just love the series! good actresses and good script! I really like that it is from different perspective. Love Bella Thorn as Paige Townesen. Hope she choose Rayner, Jake is acting like a jerk and don't deserved Paige <3 Hope a season 2 is coming soon, 10 episode is way to short! Addicted!!

OK so I'm not a total fan of Bella Thorne but I've seen her Disney channel's shake it up and it think she's an OK actress so i gave this show a try, and wham i fell in love. Every episode leads you on, revealing the most outrageous secrets about each character leading on to more intense drama. So it's basically about a girl named Paige (Bella Thorne) who starts in the beginning having a normal life roommates with her two best friends Cassie and Jake but then one day new movie decides to cast random girls in town and her best friend Cassie convinces Paige to go with her and she does not expecting to receive the role and wham she becomes famous which is where our story takes us. Everything that Paige knew is gone her life turns and changes happen as if her her life is turned upside down such as her friends becoming distant from her because of her new famous life, torn between liking her best friend Jake and her new costar Rainer, above all that everyone has secrets which us deeper leaving us with "wtf" every episode we hit next. It's that damn good, can't for season 2!!!!!!
