WasAnnon Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
Orla Zuniga It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review
Delight Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
allisonhopper1 This show has worn out it welcome, if it played once a week that would be OK, but to play back to back for hours, that is way to much. The show is stupid and a waste of airtime. They need to cancel the show lay it to rest. What I can't understand is how they can just keep playing it over and over. Some of the things that are being done can't really be real, the things that they have them eat, and the things that the have them do,it is just unbelievable and totally stupid, it is really sad that they can't let it go, do a different kind of show and don't keep doing this show......Put it to bed and find something else to do.........
SnoopyStyle You can hold your nose and try to shame us for liking it. But I know that I wasn't alone when it first came out in 2001 and loved it. It was the logical climax to reality TV. Everybody was still clinging to the idea of making something profound. You won't find any such delusions here. It's about entertainment and this is entertaining. It's gross out TV. And we love Joe Rogan making those meatheads eat worms. Isn't that half the fun? After a while it did wear out its welcome. After all, how many variations of dropping people off the roof can there be. After leaving the air in 2005, it did come back in 2011. It was more sentimental than anything else. Those were the times.
mbacchia-1 I found this show to be quite funny. Some of the stuff is so insane you just have to find it comical. No one really gets hurt. Its all done professionally. Also, its interesting to watch how the contestants react to insane situations. The host is perfect for this kind of show. This is a lot better than most sit coms. Most situation comedy is just so incredibly bad in my opinion. At least this show evokes a reaction, sit coms are much more mind numbing to me. They should make the Fear Factor contestants watch horrible sit coms with really loud laugh tracks. Now that would be a task difficult to complete! I can not stand that for more than a second. Why I'd be screaming in fear for my remote.
unleaded-1 Fear Factor is like a car wreck - everyone wants to watch it, but hope they never have to be in it. My 'beef' is with the episode that had 3 women and 3 men bobbing for rings in the tank of cow's blood. Was it entirely necessary to show the women showering with the blood running down their breasts, thighs, legs and feet? Compared to the men's showers, it was like two different episodes. Is that totally necessary? When the male contestants showered, one never sees the midsection or blood washing down through their pelvic region. Are the producers afraid that showing men with blood in the shower would indicate that they were menstruating? Puh-leez! This wasn't the first show (and probably not the last) to portray the female body in a negative image, and the unequality in filming the genders is offensive. This episode left me wondering if the portrayal of women in America will ever be on an even par with the macho image that the baggy-shorted males. Remember, half of the population (and the contestants) are female, so show the same angle for both, or don't bother to show it at all.
