Highly Overrated But Still Good

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama

I think this spin-off was created for me - I couldn't watch TWD, too many zombies, too intense and too gory. I prefer the human-nature observance in end-of-the-world situations, and this series addresses just that. The zombies are important to the plot but we don't have to watch too many of them eating people, instead we can watch society unravel and consider the dramatic steps your average joe would have to take to survive when it does.
Yes the characters do lots of dumb things, but would it be entertainment if they just locked themselves in and waited it out?

Good zombie movies have always - from George A. Romero until today - been about people, society and how we handle crises. Some have handled it better than others. This series gets a rocky start with a terrible first episode, but after that it's so much more than The Walking Dead or most zombie movies have ever managed to be.The people are real. They are smart. They make believable choices. They deal with violence and are affected by it, they kill, they feel remorse. Everything is made all the more realistic by the fact that there is not one single character who is altogether good or evil (no Negan, thank god). Although a drama series focusing on relationships, the pace is so much higher than TWD - switching locations, moving on, and killing off main characters faster than TWD. It's simply great and relevant writing that makes you wonder why this is not the main zombie-related series on TV.

I would like for someone to make a parody on this one. I am an educated hater for this show because I watched all four seasons up until episode 8. These characters are completely idiotic and their perception of the world where they live in is horrible. Storyline is boring and has so many holes in it.
Let's just say that in a world of completely slow and stupid zombies it's not very easy to get bitten and still everybody is being overpowered and overrun by them. they move in hordes and they are very loud but still they can sneak up on people and somehow manage to bite them.
Communities are falling down because all people are turning on each other even if they would have two decent minds who can say: oh wait, let's clear out dead first by setting one big fire where all of them are gonna go and die, and we can settle our disputes later.
This is just so lazy and I would not wait fore second part of the season to come out because death of one of the characters was sooooo stupid.
Excuse my English.

There is only one way to cope with the stupidity of the actions that the characters engage in, and that is to be for the dead. The only vague reason for anyone to fear the dead is that the dead both reason better and makes better decisions than the characters. That makes the only real thing left fearing - is that no one can give you the time back spent on this show.
