Sorry, this movie sucks

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

Lets be real - you dont watch a show like this for the cookie cutter format or the "flipping" or "flopping" that aparently takes place. You watch it for the personalities, you watch it for the heavily edited people working to do something they love and the dynamic they all have while achieving somethting great. That does not seem to occur here and I ask myself why? Two people that have made the decision to put themselves on a tv show together and be in the spotlight while having very little to no chemistry together, but also trying to be the best parents and partner they can be - from season one you can see the cracks already so it was only a matter of time before what happened did happen. But we still got more and more shows, and now franchise versions where the prodocuers of the show attempt to get a do over but thats not how it works - this is painful, awkward and formulaiec at the best of times. Good luck with Flip or Flop: Compton (or wher variation you are doing now), lets hope we never have to see another shaky marriage go down the tubes in a reality show again.

The show reveals how an ugly house can be turned into a new inviting and warm place to live. What is not real is the chemistry between Tarik and Christina and who she is dating. She walks around and tells him what to add, it is always gray and white, or some gray color or neutral. Please change the colors schemes and get new people on your show. They are plastic together and she looks like she is ready for Vogue magazine. Who looks like that for flipping homes and you don't make that much money on every flip, really? Is it just me or am I crazy. Joanna and Chip have interaction and it is real, not like this show. You could make them real if they were still married and his wife didn't look like she just stepped out of the salon??!!

So a lot of people are posting why the show is so bad (bad acting, scripting, fake dressing for going into run-downs) and others come in defense of the show. Then there is the "why are you watching the show?" Many of us probably watch (every now and then) to see the So Cal real estate market. Having moved from the area, but being familiar with the areas they are in, I get curious to see what you can pick a place up for. That can be difficult to, as many of their episodes are old repeats. Never can tell when there is a current episode. But agreed, it is a hard 30 minutes to sit through. This is like flip 101, no substantive information to be garnered, unless you want fashion trends. Some of the designs are not that great either, very standard. All you have to do is go shopping and you can put a look together, even us laypersons have that skill level. Not to mention you can copy a model home or magazines. I have never picked up one design tip or anything from this show. Please HGTV, give us something more real.

These people are so fake and I want this off the air as soon as possible. These are the most expensive Flips that I have ever seen. Budget and materials unrealistic for all of their flips. They are always inappropriately dressed for demolition work. Contractors tell them anything and they say okay yes. Price doesn't matter because they will pay whatever $5k, 10K, 20K. Just say the number and they will pay--unreal for real. The dudes favorite line is, "just give me a ballpark figure off the top of your head". Will HGTV ever bring back the homeowner/fix it/repair it shows? Everything on their network is garbage IMO.
