Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

mattkerr-73017 The ordinary middle-classer(s) turning to a life of crime due to unforeseen circumstances story is such a commonly used trope in TV at this point that its crazy how coming out with a show of this point isn't met with a groan from audience, who have to deal with enough other stale TV-tropes that have been done to death but rather with relative critical praise. However I don't see a problem with this in the immediate sense because I actually found Good Girls first series to be pretty entertaining, managing to balance some typically decent humour along with some more tense moments. If Good Girls had an issue, it would be that there is almost a need at this point to compare it to every similar show done over the course of the last 20 years, and how it weighs up. Thankfully, it manages to remain memorable enough to not be overshadowed (I mean for a Weeds-core show, it doesn't even involve drug dealing), and has a unique enough take with its suburban mix of characters to get more than a pass.

Larsii90 I went into this thinking it would be an OK show, because I was out of shows to watch, and... I was blown away. Great characters, great stories that captures you, and overall good writing. I was hooked from start to finish, and I cannot wait for season 2! Highly recommend it.
