Synopsis

High Mountain Rangers was a weekly television series about a group of highly trained wilderness search and rescue/law enforcement officers in Tahoe, Nevada. It starred Robert Conrad as Jesse Hawkes and also starred his two sons, Christian Conrad and Shane Conrad. Robert's daughter Joan was the executive producer. Only 12 episodes were broadcast, from January 2, 1988 until April 9, 1988 on CBS, before the low-rated show was cancelled. Although the series lasted just one season, it had a spin-off titled Jesse Hawkes. That show was canceled after only six episodes.

Redwarmin This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
Helllins It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
slowdiva-357-222138 I have happy memories of watching this show when I was young. I only vaguely recall it, but I'm pretty sure it was the best show EVER! Time for a remake? Definitely!
todd-615 Going along with the others on their comments I remember watching this show a lot when I was a kid. Can't remember how old I was but I remember that this show had a lot of appeal to it. These guys who were elite search and rescue as well as law enforcement personnel pretty much had everything in the way of equipment to get the job done. Anything from horses to track someone to having a cute looking female paramedic in the group for rescue assignments! They also handled law enforcement issues as well and their work environment was the Lake Tahoe area. The grown-ups made jokes about some of the acting but that issue aside this was a fantastic show and being in agreement with other viewers the family - respect for environment / nature thing was great! If someone could talk Robert Conrad into contacting a DVD production company into marketing this I'd be in line the night before to buy and I know the kids / adults in my family would like it. I did have about 5 episodes on an old tape...gotta find those !
jtanderson-4 High Mountain Rangers was my childhood favorite. In my early teens in the 80s - I was faithful to each showing. We didn't have a VCR, so I would record some of the shows on cassette tapes to listen over and over again. I would LOVE to find these on DVDs or on the internet somewhere. Please let me know if anyone can help. A GREAT family show - timeless! The shows were clever and fun for the entire family. The show focused on nature, a love for and a respect for nature, and family. I remember feeling a strong family connection even though the father, Jessie, was separated from his wife. The two brothers Matt and Cody lived with separate parents but formed a bond later in life. This show had a great impact on my sister and I. She even named her first son Cody after Cody Hawks. A GREAT show that is fondly remembered today!
Strange_Bru Alright, here is what we had...Mountain scenery, family bonding, action/adventure, and a good cast.High Mountain Rangers was short lived but a fun show to watch. The idea of watching a law enforcement/search and rescue program was both nostalgic and "Ahead of it's time". The program had elements from shows like "emergency" with the search and rescue plots, and the action of "SWAT" when doing law enforcement plots. Ontop of which, the family element of Robert Conrad and his sons really made the show more enjoyable.I haven't seen an episode since it last aired, but I do believe that this show had elements to appeal to almost any viewer.I recommend this show...if reruns of it can ever be found.
