Synopsis

A high-octane suspense drama that centers on Dr. Ellen Sanders, a premier surgeon thrust into a chilling political conspiracy when she and her family are held captive in their home by rogue FBI Agent Duncan Carlisle, a desperate man doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, who orders Dr. Sanders to assassinate the President when she operates on him.

Matrixston Wow! Such a good movie.

Helloturia I have absolutely never seen anything like this movie before. You have to see this movie.
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
quercus1776 I watched a couple of episodes. One would have thought that the writers would have done a bit of research. First off the SS would never have had a strange MD operate on the President without full vetting. With that vetting, the son's drug dealing, the husband's affair and the daughter's romance would have all been discovered. More then likely the MD would have been passed over on those issues alone. Even if there were not these family issues, more then likely the SS would have at least been watching them 24/7 until after the surgery. The show is contrived and not very realistic. Waste of good acting talent.
Rich F As I've watched each episode I've come to realize that the acting is reasonable, but that each of the main characters lack any real morals. Ironically, as of the most recent episode (Season 1, episode 11), it appears that the husband, Bryan Sanders, is the only character showing showing any real moral fiber. Everyone else is ready to "willy nilly" do in the president, for whatever reason. If everyone in society acted like these characters, chaos would be the order of the day. Given the behavior of each character, I wouldn't put it past the writers to have the brother kill the sister, just because she doesn't go along with her mom wanting to kill the president.
bytheriv At first I thought it was poor acting and an unlikely story, but I'm hooked by watching the DVR'd episodes. I love the twists and turns of each character's loyalties and possible evils....the bad guys are beginning to look like the good guys and even the family members are changing their weaknesses and character. Anticipating a very surprise ending! Looking forward to the next episode!! I am also recording "Blacklist" which comes on at the same time and day. I am also hooked on that show. I don't usually watch TV intensely but my husband has been gone a lot in the past 3 months so I have indulged in these serial shows. I thought I enjoyed Blacklist more than Hostages, but now I think they are both equally exciting and full of suspense. Both shows make the viewer leery about what actually goes on in the higher levels of the government! Who can you trust??!!
jreeders518 This is so bad. I now know what soap opera people go through. But this is only once a week as opposed to every day. The show has moved a few days in a few weeks and the story line is not getting any better. They should have made it a mini series. This is just too stupid for words. I can see the bodies piling up in shows like The Walking Dead. To have this many deaths with such a weak story line in an insult to viewers. The blame for that rest totally with the Producers and directors of this sixty minute, thirteen episode fiasco. Dylan McDermott should fire his agent and refuse to speak to Jerry Bruckheimer. Jerry, the success ride is over. Go away for a little while now. Go lie down. CBS, shame on you for putting the Mentalist on Sunday nights and letting past success of JB dictate to the audience what they want to see. I rather watch Miley Cyrus twerking than this crap.
