Best movie of this year hands down!

It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.

Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

"Infomania" can be seen on Current TV, Hulu and other internet sites, is a consistently entertaining amalgamation of TV, internet, publications, etc. over a weeks time or so. It's jauntily edited and frequently inventive and very funny. The host is Conor Knighton who is appealing in an intelligent but not overly condescending way. He seems like the kind of kid you'd find cracking jokes in class at Harvard. The reporters (some who seem to show up every week and others who do a segment every now and then) are all talented and have the same spark and energy that the overall show has. They're quick witted and seem to be "in-the-know" (even when they're playing clueless). My favorite is Sergio Chili who does his "White Hot Top Five" segment featuring the top 5 songs of some sub-genre of music of his own picking. His deadpan delivery, cut-aways and non-sequiturs are often priceless while also making a valid point or two. Some may find the tone of "Infomania" a bit snarky (and it is) but if sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek humor coupled with a summary of today's "hot topics" is your thing, "Infomania" is for you. I find it hard to believe that a show that is so inventive and entertaining hasn't become more popular and I can only guess that it is due to the glut of shows that do the same thing that "Infomania" does. The TV clips shown here are often the same ones making the rounds on "The Soup" (the show "Infomania" seems closest to in nature). Lastly, the only criticism I can make about the show is that it can be monotonous week after week. The style, tone, even the order of the segments feels the same week after week. The result is that even a funny bit falls flat because the monotonous setup already cues us to the fact that a joke is coming. There's no surprises except in the video clips and some of the commentary. The show could us a bit more spontaneity especially in the delivery of the host whose quips are pretty much the same week after. They need to switch things around a bit or have other people come on with the host like they do on "The Soup".

Am I the only one that thinks this show is one of the most comprehensively entertaining shows on television? No matter how dumb I feel on a day-to-day basis, upon watching this show I feel as though I've learned something (despite the pointless nature of most of the segments haha)...Current doesn't get enough advertisement... It seems like if you don't know about it you aren't in the loop, like you have to get a referral or something haha. The show is by far my favourite on TV, with Hannah Montana a distant second... Nottt. Hannah Montana is first... Nottt.Keep it up!
