Working for the FBI's Deep Cover Operations division, Martin Odum can transform himself into a different person -- whether it's an assignment as a Serbian extremist, a corrupt Chicago police officer, a British special forces colonel, or a legendary computer hacker. But when he learns that his life, itself, may be a lie, he faces the demands of his job and a desire to solve the mystery of his identity. And given the choice between the two, Odum doesn't always make the right decision.

cmurf-49533 I have seen a lot of reviews on here. I agree with most people Season 1 was just OK. Sean Bean was fantastic but the acting for the rest of the cast was horrific. Decided to give Season 2 a shot. I couldn't stop watching. It was 100 times better than Season 1. I find it funny all these people on here complaining about the time jumps and that there is words on the bottom of the screen. What do you people have minds of 5 year olds? Stop what you are doing and watch the show. It's not hard to follow as long as you aren't an idiot. The acting is great. Story line was pretty solid too. I think the problem they had was Season 1 was so bad that Season 2 never had a chance. If they started the show with Season 2 instead they might have had a hit. I like how Season 2 ended. It gave closure in case it did get canceled. I was worried they wouldn't tie everything up but they did. I highly recommend this show unless you are like these other 2 year olds that wrote these reviews and can't follow a basic story line.
Alberto Logan Started watching season 1 on Netflix, first couple of episodes were good, the idea is good and could have gone in a very good direction but sadly it unraveled. I wanted so bad to be unlike the so many police shows out there and for once have some bad things happen to good people simply because that is life. I wanted to be more realistic than the other over the top shows but it derailed in the later episodes leading to the finale. Basically turned into a John Rambo kind of show, except it's and FBI agent and a couple of his buddies who are going to take down governments, global corporations and even powerful politicians. This is as far from real life as it gets, Martin who is of advanced age in the show is getting the snot beat out of him and first chance he gets, he simply stands up kills everyone in the room except one guy. Wow, he must have superhuman powers, same for his wife, you can send highly trained assassins but are no match for this FBI agents and his wife. The shootout in the safe house, Martin takes out all of the bad guys with a weapon that never runs out of ammo. Wouldn't such a powerful organization sent a small army of maybe 50 highly trained soldiers for hire? maybe it would have not matter, Martin and his wife would have killed all of them. I hate shows that take their hero over the top, why not make them more human, like suffering pain, broken bones and even making mistakes. My guess is that in season 2 Martin will take down the Saudi government, the corrupt big dogs in the CIA, FBI and anybody else who gets in his way. I wonder who would win between Martin and John McClane. I like Sean Bean better in game of thrones and Lord of the Rings, which is more realistic, a man with strengths and flaws which pays the ultimate price, nothing wrong with death of a major character.
David Story lines and character development are good. There is plenty of intrigue. I stopped watching after a few episodes the first season. I didn't remember why so I watched the first episode of the second season. It is the foreign languages and the jumping time lines! If I want to read for entertainment I will read a road. I believe the jumping time lines show a lack of confidence in the product. The jumps are also a trick to give the appearance of depth.I just deleted the series from my DVR record list. I will remember this time.
mohandoss-john I have only seen the first season. And Sean Bean is incredible. The other actors play their part well, no doubt, But this show is a Sean Bean show. We all know he is a fine actor. In this show, he is in his element. Because this character was written for him.Take a moment to think about Sean Bean the actor, and his persona. I can immediately think of a few words: troubled, disturbed by a past he doesn't fully understand, too many lifetimes in one lifetime. Tired and haggard, worn out. Martin Odum, his character, is exactly that. Bean doesn't really have to act in this role, he is the very personification of the character itself. And then he does something more. He draws you in. He makes you feel every single second of his screen time. It's remarkable. As for the plot, it is not the most original. Most CIA/FBI spy dramas involve the usual - agent defamation, countless threats saved on American soil, make the CIA/FBI look good especially when the world no longer trusts America, etc, but for some reason you think this is like the FBI version of Homeland. And a little amnesia for extra spice. Don't watch this for the plot. Just enjoy the story. Watch it for Sean Bean. He makes it worth it.
