SpunkySelfTwitter It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.
kdnor2011 This has got to be one of the best shows ever put on the Disney Channel. It's funny, it's sad, it's dramatic without being too dramatic. The show is about Casey McDonald, who has been forced to movie from her home town to live with her new step dad and step siblings. Her mom Nora and sister Lissie also come along. They all crowd into a house with Nora's new husband George, and his three children, Marty, Edwin, and Derek. She also has to go to a new school where everyone thinks she's weird because she's super smart. She befriends the guidance cousler Paul and neighbor Emily. Her home life isn't much better as she learns that Marty is annoying, Edwin is Gross, and Derek is both plus mean. Simple story, but told so well.I love this show, some episodes may have gotten a little too dramatic, especially the finale, but it's still a very fun show.
stayontarget There is so much not to like about this show it's hard to know where to start. Unlikeable characters, horrible plot lines, terrible writing, AND terrible acting. Don't even get me started on the obnoxious theme music. On top of all that the show is out of touch with U.S. audiences due to the heavy Canadian references all throughout it. "Oh say Derek, will you be going to Queens College in the Fall?! How have you bean? We should go oot." Granted, other shows are filmed in Canada for financial reasons like Stargate: Atlantis, but while those shows may have suffered from some annoyances (like Rodney calling a Z-P-M a "Zed-P-M") the show didn't focus on life in Canada.MTV is running Degrassi (another show based on the experiences of the Canadian teenager) during daytime hours when no one is watching to fill time (most teens are at school when it airs). I'd wager it's for the same reason. Shows that focus on teenage life in Canada don't translate well to a U.S. audience. This show should be canceled and the remaining masters burned in a furnace.
allie This show is pretty good, better than some of the other stupid shows on Disney. Micheal seater (Derek) is awesome, and lizzie and edwin are so cute! The parents are funny. Marti is cute, annoying sometimes, but really cute. The only thing I don't like about the show is Casey, seriously, no offense to any Casey fans. All she does is complain about Derek, and how much she can't STAND him. Everyone needs to complain once in a while, but she overdoes it. And she expects everyone to have the same attitude as her, that annoying, everything-has-to-be-perfect attitude. Normally I hate it when the villain wins, but in this show, when Derek (the villain) wins, it's a good thing. Casey is suppose to be the good one and Derek is suppose to be the bad one, but i see it the opposite cuz i REALLY don't like Casey. Overall, the show is good, besides that stupid background music and Casey. Worth watching, definitely.
Tammi Like many of Disney's shows, this one is just as over acted. With dubious plot lines, overacting on the entire cast's part, questionable occurrences, and unoriginal ideas, this show is not one of the best. The lack of parentage throughout the series plays a major role; the fact that the parents never step in to solve anything or play any part in the goings on of their own home makes it even less believable. Many of the spoofs and stunts are completely cliché, and the entire idea behind the series is annoying and poorly executed. The only saving grace is Michael Seater's character, which is quite possibly the only good part of the entire series. His ability to stay in character is quite possibly the only highlight of this poorly thought-out television series.
