rsriley-95016 My wife and I are thoroughly enjoying the plot line of this series, but sadly whomever is in charge of cinematography thinks that cheap jerky-cam effects are something people want to see. It's distracting and unnecessary. Buy a tripod guys!!

profdavidclark The first two series were simply brilliant. The later part of the third series, in particular the last episode, were poor... in fact, unbelievable. I cannot believe how bad Series 4 is and I am struggling to get past Episode 3. It is contrived, unbelievable and quite simply dire rubbish. Jed Mercurio has completely lost the plot, putting people in impossible positions and then just having them magic themselves out of it. There is a police interview in Episode 3 which is just laughable... why would the police do what they did when they know the police tapes will be heard? They would end up in court themselves. What I can't understand is why the actors, production team couldn't see how bad this last series is... and somehow or other, many audience think it is great. No wonder the world is having problems!

Barry Trotter Another British Drama that shines like a star. I think, although in terms of genre, it is Crime Drama , it's very similar to the magnificent "Wire" They go in different directions, but still provide the same scale of quality. If we've never seen it, you're in luck. You can binge on the series. You will not be disappointed, wonderfully crafted and acted 9/10

daved-06551 First of all, the acting was superb, but the story-line was hard to follow at times.Season One had early promise but after watching it I decided that it just wasn't for me. (SPOILER ALERT):* A seasoned cop can't find a way to dispose of a wine glass? Smash and bury, throw in any number of dumpsters in a giant city, or find another location in the river. * Isn't even a person with innocent, child-like qualities going to show police the dead, chopped up, body in their freezer?* No convictions? At the end of season one, the crime boss walks? Can you imagine tuning into an entire season of LAW AND ORDER, CSI, or NCIS, if the bad guys prevailed every time?If this series a political statement or designed for entertainment? if the former, tell us it is a true story. If the latter, make it more positive.If the series is fictional, why does the epilogue to season one have to be so depressing?I won't be giving season two a chance. I'll stick to quality shows like BLUE BLOODS!
