Synopsis

A much more lavish version of the popular Superman television series which had first aired forty years earlier, Lois & Clark focused more on the Man of Steel's early adult years in Metropolis. With the unknowing help of Lois Lane, Clark Kent created Superman there in Metropolis after finding work at the world-famous Daily Planet newspaper, where he meets fellow reporter Lois Lane.

Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
Humbersi The first must-see film of the year.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
deem_bastille Sorry. loved the first jimmy. and the bit about he was replaced for being too close to looking like dean cain... lie. big lie.just think of Valerie Harper with Valerie/The Harper family/The Hogan family or Don Ho. yup. money. dang.
David del Real THE HAPPIEST SUPERMAN, THE BEST LOIS LANE AND ONE OF THE BEST METROPOLIS.Among the many versions we have seen of Superman along the years, the one that Mr. Dean Cain gave us in this series is by far the kindest and more humane Superman of all. As many people, I also enjoyed a lot the old movies with Mr. Christofer Reeve as the character, but that interpretation of the character misses one thing completely: fun. Mr. Cain gave us a more balanced character showing us a variety of emotions and delivered to us an entertaining show. Nevertheless, most of the badges in my review are for the character of Lois Lane, performed by Ms. Teri Hatcher. Why? She has made the only Lois Lane that has made us believe she is actually in love both of Superman and Clark. The other "Loises" love one and learn to put up with the other. In the Classic "Reeve" movies, Lois loves Superman and appreciates Clark and even shouts how sweet he is but does not love him when she doesn't know he is Superman (a Superhero in the Super-Friendzone!). Erica Durance (from Smallville) gave us good Lois Lane too, but technically, she couldn't love Superman, because Superman does not exist in the series until the very end. Another Lois Lanes, like in "Superman TAS" don't even like Kent much and are eager to express it. One of the best things in this show is that Lois falls in love with Clark before falling in love too with Superman!!!Now, one thing very important for me in the DC Universe is that heroes are very mentally, emotionally and historically related to the cities they live in. In the comics we clearly see that Batman is the right superhero for Gotham, Superman the right one for Metropolis, Wonder-Woman has the charisma to be a successful ambassador, Aquaman (depending on the year you are reading) has adventures where he has the warmth and kindness of a superhero and others where he has the rough personality of the Emperor of a very difficult nation. So, all that said, I think Lois and Clark's Metropolis is a good METROPOLIS: noisy, boisterous, full of gossips, activity, etc... exactly where the "Man of Steel" would go to be in the middle of the action! There are many good things about this show, including Ms. Tracy Scoggins as Cat Grant; being a fan of Ms. Scoggins myself, one of the few things I disliked of the show is that I would have liked to see her much more. Walter Lane Smith III singing Elvis in the corridor as Perry White is still one of the most remembered scenes of the series...and it will always be!!! And of course...each viewer has its favorite moments but I tried to focus my review in points and elements that were maybe overlooked in other reviews. Thanks for readingIMDb by David del Real. PWNYCNY This series offers a warmly human interpretation of the relationship between Superman and Lois Lane. The series treats their relationship with warmth and and with a measure of plausibility. It must be remembered that Superman is not human, and that fact alone could have undermined any attempt to humanize the being from another planet. Yet, this series deals with that situation well, helped immeasurably by the wonderful cast, headed up by Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, who work well together. Their performances alone make this series worth watching. In this series Superman is heroic but not emotionally distant and as Clark Kent is affable and respectable without being overly bumbling. Superman handles his disguise well and as George Reeves did in the original Superman television series, Dean Cain projects a aura of quiet strength and levelheadedness which makes the character even stronger. By the way, in this series Superman often consults his mother, which makes the character even more endearing.
tarheelrko919 This show premiered when I was 11 years old. I instantly fell in love with it, and watched it faithfully until it was taken off the air. The chemistry between Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher was incredible, something you rarely see on television shows now. The idea that the show was based around Lois and Clark, and not completely about Superman, was great. The building and growing of Lois and Clark's relationship during the series is something that will never be duplicated. I could go on and on about the different things that made this show great. Lois and Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman is truly the greatest and best TV series ever.
