Vashirdfel Simply A Masterpiece
SteinMo What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
trashley22 Had zero expectations when we started watching this, and overall liked it. Didn't mind the narrator, but we're into that kinda voiceover thing ala Mysteries at the Museum or Ancient Aliens, so didn't find it off putting like so many other reviewers. Liked the structure of the stories as they mislead before getting to the point. Some stories were just more engaging than others, but we absolutely loved Black Stockings and Unboxed. Loved them so much we've played them for friends at our house and didn't mind rewatching those episodes several times. We already knew the background on some stories so those were less interesting to us, but overall a very well put together show with interesting animations/graphics and solid re-enactments. It's not like your watching a movie, it's more like watching an hour of tv on the History channel... but we like that kinda stuff! We hope the second season has more stories we've never heard of.
kenthembree-588-769152 At 13:00, the narrator claims the the phrase "saved by the bell" is attributed to a coffin gimmick of the time. It widely known as a reference to a losing boxer not being counted out because the end of the round came before the referee's decision. That is enough said, but I have to keep typing to meet the minimum character requirement.
khurramatif This show is based on real incidents that took place in the superstitious era of mankind. And proves that ancient false fears of evil has lead mankind beyond humanity. If you are a horror/thriller fan, this is worth your time. It gives you insight on certain fears, people used to have in the history. And how superstitions could be fatal for human race. It takes you back and forth in history. The narrator will also jump in during different sections of episode and will make it more dramatic. I really like the narration of this show. There are also some animations in each episode that are also very well done & add mood to the whole thing. If don't know that this started on a podcast or you are looking for jump scares, traditional husky narrations & other horror cliché you may not like this.Don't mind the bad reviews or complaints about narration, give this show a try and decide yourself. Finally, I believe this is Dark, Atmospheric, Right-on & Sometimes crude. I will give this 7/10.Thank you.
Peter Kourakos III I've been listening to the Lore podcast since early on. I heard about it through another podcast and decided to give it a try. I was several episodes behind but quickly caught up. "They Made A Tonic" is the first episode of the podcast (and also the first episode of the show). I was hooked after that. Personally, I can't recommend it enough (www.lorepodcast.com).The show has some information that differs a little from the source, but it still gives a great creep factor and actually has some additional information that the podcast doesn't. The only qualm I have is that the story of Robert the Doll (Unboxed) is changed for the show. I'm not sure why this was done because the actual story (which is given in good detail on the podcast) is a bit creepier.Solid acting and writing make this a good addition to any horror fan's collection. There are many episodes that would make for great TV and I'm looking forward to season 2 to see what they do next.
