BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Gurlyndrobb While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

ma-cortes Marvel's Agent Carter, starring Captain America's Hayley Atwell (18 episodes) , follows the story of the wise-cracking Peggy Carter. It's 1946, and war is finished , as Peggy Carter suffers a serious blow , as she learns herself marginalized when the WWII soldiers go back home from battling abroad. At the beginning Peggy Carter is relegated to secretarial duties in the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) a special unit . Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) along with his the botcher assistant or butler (James D'Arcy) all while attempting to live as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life-Steve Rogers. But Stark is framed as a traitor and he secretly recruits her to clear his name with the indispensable help his steward , Edwin James , : D'Arcy who holds the comic relief, portraying Jarvis's comedic side .As Carter living and confronting at a wold where supervillians and bizarre people arise and they want to conquer it . Meanwhile, she records her fallen lover , Steve Rogers aka Captain America , but also Carter gains potential new boyfriends. This series being inspired by the feature films Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America , the Secret Empire in the aftermath of World War II: The Winter Soldier, along with the short Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter . Splendid series with emotion , suspense , action-packed , thrills , plot twists , loads of Computer Generator FX and adequate sense of period for the forties and early fifties . Marvel's Agent Carter, starring Captain America's Hayley Atwell who gives a sympathetic and jolly acting , concerns about the story of Peggy Carter who moves from New York City to Los Angeles to deal with the threats of the new Atomic Age . As she works in SSR formed by an expert team led by Shea Whigham with Chad Michael Murray , Enver Gjokaj , among others . This awesome group take on ominous menaces , dangerous superhumans , nuclear threats , strange as well as supernatural cases , rare characters and extremely baddie enemies as Wynn Everett playing a famous actress called Whitney Frost with extraordinary powers and her husband Currie Graham. Here Wynn Everett role is reminiscent of the Hollywood actress Hedy Lamarr as a known player with a real interest on technology and science , in fact Hedy made up an essential artifact that influenced in developing WWII . It has appropriate cinematography by excellent cameramen and good technicians , especially Gabriel Beristain, as they used a combination of traditional technology and modern digital techniques and visual effects to replicate the feel of period movie.Along the episodes appear a great number of prestigious secondaries such as Kurtwood Smith , Currie Graham ,Samaire Armstrong , Chris Mulkey , Ralph Brown , Ray Wise , James Frain , Lyndsy Fonseca, Lesley Boone and several others. The series was well created by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley with essential collaboration by Stan Lee, Alan Fine , Joe Quesada,Jack Kirby. Unfortunately, it was announced by ABC on May 2016 that Agent Carter had been cancelated after two full seasons had been shot .
probably-just-me77 Nice noir aesthetics, a general feel-good tone, silly storyline - for me a perfect thing to drift off into a nice nap. Unfortunately there's a constant stream of PC feminist propaganda that I was able to ignore during the first season but it got nauseating in the second one. Dear ladies - strong and competent people DO NOT need constant encouragement, special treatment or victim narratives. If you need this then you are NOT strong and competent. Welcome to the world.
edtaskin Even though I wasn't expecting this series would be this amazing, I am now a big fan. First season is definitely a must-watch. I really would like to watch more seasons but season two swept that chance away (especially because of the ending.). So, the potential is wasted with season two, but I still recommend it.
melgarcia40 Having binged-watched the show in less than a week, I was very pleased with this mini-series, although it fell a little flat in the second season. It might be important to add that I haven't watched any of the Captain America movies nor agents of SHIELD, and still enjoyed Agent Carter, so I don't know in which capacity this might have affected my enjoyment of it. I guess I missed a ton of Easter Eggs, but it also meant that I hadn't any specific expectations for the show to include any Marvel stuff in it. The show sustained itself overall pretty well, particularly thanks to a fantastic Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, and an equally delightful James d'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis. This platonic relationship is by far the most enjoyable aspect of Agent Carter, with its wry, funny and oh-so- well delivered dialogue. I could have watched those two interacting and be happy with it, with the addition of Dominic Cooper, who constantly steals all the scenes he is in as Howard Stark Agent Carter was also a fantastic show in terms of female empowerment. Peggy's struggle as a woman in the 40's and her difficult path towards acceptation in the SSR was a very compelling story, that hasn't completely lost relevance nowadays. The second season also broached some very interesting points, such as the contempt for women in science, the pressure Hollywood puts on women (being told you are "too old" to be a lead at 35...) and racism. Unfortunately, the show lost a bit of its momentum and focus in the middle of the second season, and, despite some truly enjoyable moments, didn't manage to keep it dynamic enough, which was a bit disappointing. Notably, Peggy's SL was reduced to her love life, which completely undermines what S1 was about. The need for romance is something that in my opinion took too much focus, whereas there were lots of opportunities for the show to dig deeper in people interaction in general, and made the stakes for the central character a bit lackluster. It is said that the show will be canceled, but I would still recommend to watch the 18 episodes that were made over the 2 seasons: it is stylish, clever, funny and fresh for the most part
