It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

This is a well written plot/story. Love the main characters and the way he develop through the story.... I can't wait for the next episode!

It might have been a decent series, but my wife and I grew tired of constantly reading subtitles. Some subtitle within a series or movie is okay at times, but every episode is loaded with them. If I wanted to read, I'd get a book.

McMafia's writer Amini did something good in his career. Usually when he based his screenplays on good books.
With McMafia unfortunately the writers seem to be aiming too high without any solid base.
Don't get me wrong: while I dislike most recent crime-thriller big successes (being one of those who watch too much stuff and become too demanding) the show got me hooked for the first 2 episodes.
But as soon as you understand the big picture, dozens of wrong details start to stockpile.
Our protagonist is an Harvard genius of finance that worked for Goldman and now manages his own investment funds. But he is also very naive at dealing with people: family, partners, strangers and enemies.
Furthermore our protagonist is the filthy rich son of a russian mob gangster escaped to London. And he firmly believes that we should adopt an "ethical version of capitalism" (which, by opening a dictionary, would tell you that he's hardly graduated).
Did I mention that he's a good looking young sweet lover?
By episode 3 I knew this is mediocre entertainment: few nice touches here and there, masterfully produced but still as bad and predictable as most of the stuff around.
