BootDigest Such a frustrating disappointment
Murphy Howard I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Micah Lloyd Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
Griff Lees Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
SnoopyStyle Rebecca Winstone (Ashley Judd) has a mysterious past. And his son is kidnapped by an unknown group. Is it because her mysterious past is coming back to haunt her? This is filmed in Europe which they hoped to add some value to this show. But the location never added production value. We want this to be 007 or Bourne, but it was never going to be.None of it really worked. Ashley Judd is wooden in this. The son is sorta annoying. It might have worked much better if the kid was much younger. It would ramp up the danger. But since he's an annoying teen, we're always frustrated at how stupid he is. As an audience, we seem to always know more than the guy. And that's frustrating. They filmed 10 episodes, and never had a chance at renewal.
tupolev72 This show is what I consider to be the worst and most poorly written and produced shows ever to be aired on TV. Why? Because Ashley Judd's performance is one of the worst I have ever seen, due to the fact that she's supposed to be a good, tough ex-CIA mother who is looking for her son. Instead, her performance gives the wrong image and it makes her character look more like a fascist woman. It has even led me to hate Ashley Judd.To make matters worse, the poor screen writing by creator Gregory Poirier for the pilot episode leads to people not understand if she is actually a good or bad mother to her son, as he fails to explain one important thing that Ashley said that could explain if she really is a bad mother or not.I've even figured out that most of the cast are well known in Hollywood instead of TV, which leads me to believe that they used this casting as an excuse to cover the terrible writing. When I saw it, I thought it was good, but one year later, I have realized that I made a terrible mistake when I discovered the poor acting by Ashley Judd and screen writing and this will be a mistake I will regret for the rest of my life. So, if you're about to watch this, you're wasting you time, because if you do, you will regret it for a long time like I do. In reality, I think this was a show that deserved to be canceled.
NatalieMovieLover I know I'm doing this a little late now that they've canceled the show. But, I wasn't really a fan of this TV series. At points of the show, Ashley Judd's character goes through the unnecessary. Gregory Poirier, I think made this to be too close to Taken. I don't know completely what he could have done to make it better, but there could have been a better plot. Things just went by a little too quick, not giving the next steps in the series to think itself out. I mean Ashley's character agreed with her son going somewhere all the way off in Italy on his own where I think she had no business agreeing with in the first place. Also at times is seems as if the there's no feeling in themselves when they're acting out a scene. At points its sort of dull. I think Gregory knew where he was going but some things just didn't come out right.
trb But I have now DELETED "Missing" from my DVR, forever.Be an actor or risk being black-balled for idiotic comments that are elitist, left-wing, Hollywood comments that have no relevance to your actual life experience... If I was a millionaire I too could spout off crap and have people listen. You are an actor, stick to what you're good at; if you feel so strongly about these issues, speak with CASH & not with media accessibility! She now has been added to the: Streisand, Penn, Robbins, Sarandon, Clooney, Hanks and other multi-millionaires that champion liberal causes but do not step up to the plate and donate THEIR money for these causes they are so passionate about!!! Be an artist and if you want to be a politician, Put-Your-Money-Where-Your-Mouth-Is! Run for office!
