InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Roman Sampson One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
Beulah Bram A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
Brooklynn There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
sonerayanlar We as family loved each season, episodes and the characters.. Surely Angie (Kristin Lehman) is our favorite though, cast of all characters are doing great job. We just hope that Season 4 will not be the final season for this magnificent show..We loved the hair style of Angie on the Season 4.. Detective Vega wins our heart as always Dr. Betty Rogers is very attractive forensic Dr. that we love her passion. We ask you to continue with this great show Do not end it Do not end it please The show has our attention from the first episode of season 1 till season 4 unchanged. Because we congratulate the scripts writers they know how to thrill us..
Gaming Tech Motive is the special kind of thriller drama, instead of finding the killer like most of series and knowing the motives of the kill, it is very exciting to find the motive from the killer perspective. Lot of potential for this series can been seen in the coming years, I also love the fact that this series is a real thriller or police drama, there is no on going romance between the colleagues like most of the dramas nowadays but a real life scenarios of politics, psychological burdens within the real life and work! In real life, we don't fall in love or lust with our colleagues and we don't have sex with every other person we meet in bar but still we lo.Love it and hove and care about our colleagues and can be just very good or best friends without the hope of having with bed with him or her. Love it will and hope it will continue soon!
g0b0 As a fan of crime shows, I was intrigued to watch this show. The premise was fascinating; it's been used by notable writers such as Agatha Christie. The critical reviewers comparing the show to 'Columbo', certainly have an opinion, but it's not worth much in the volumes of literature and cinema. In a ' typical' crime show, the cops & detectives investigate & follow leads. They rule out suspects & generally solve the crime in 60 minutes or within the arc of several weeks. The puzzle of solving a murder is rarely as simple as doing research in a lab where things are 'cut & dry'. The similarity between 'typical' crime shows & Motive is that the Audience gets to witness the detectives pursuing leads and solving the case. The STRIKING difference is that in this remarkable show, the producers have the freedom to spend time on the detectives' WORK PROCESS itself. We get to see cops the way they work every day, as cases unfold; not the abbreviated highlights for TV versions. So, this may not be the glamorous Law & Order, SVU show (which I love!), but this show is a different version of a cop show. It's not competing with Law & Order, Columbo, or any other. It's just deconstructing the job; taking it apart in front of our eyes. By deconstructing the cops doing their job, we get to see the process in a different light. It may be less glamorous than Law & Order but it's deeper, more character driven and it is fueled by it's core by the case. Peripherally, there is the baggage that normal folks have.Better than Law & Order, SVU? I could not say. They are both on my watch list & satisfy different pleasures.
kols Quirky has been in now for quite some time - lately Perception, The Neighbors and Suburgatory, Fairly Legal, Person of Interest, How to Live With Your Parents - all quite successful and, now, from Canada, Motive.Premise is dangerous for two reasons: many cop show fans (as demonstrated by some of the reviews) watch for the mystery and its solution, period. That decimates Motives' potential fan base.Second reason - what the hell do you do with the rest of the 46 minutes, once victim and perp are exposed? You're forced to focus on character interaction and, in that respect, Motive excels. Perkypops' review nails it for me.Kristen Lehman, alone, is worth my 9 stars (actually 10, doesn't get any better) and she gets strong assists from Louis Ferreira and Lauren Holly as well as the rest of the ensemble.Flaws, there are a few (actually a few more than a few) arising from trying to deal with the premise but the strength of the ensemble overwhelms them. It's just plain fun to watch these characters interact. Finally I'll return to a personal tonic: review the show. Many of the negative reviews don't and I particularly note the 'Columbo' comparison. Loved Peter Falk and occasionally enjoyed an episode but wasn't a fan. Too Hollywood, too Desi-Lu like, too just plain blah! Comparing Columbo to Motive is like comparing Cheers to The Love Boat.Kinda, what?
