pattie_cakes The show is funny but not the funniest.I'm seeing hate here for Gerry as a person in general but the truth is he is no where near a jerk in real life.Met him on a plane going to Halifax where they film the show. I sat behind him while my friend sat beside him and they talked about life and what not. He was a very pleasant guy who just liked to talk about sports and stuff. Not the jerk you see in the show lolHe said "after 7 seasons it's getting really hard to come up with stuff" So there is your reason why the show is starting to kind of lose its original feel. They're out of ideas. It happens. Don't be so hard on the guy lol In my opinion it was a good run and they did a great job with the show.

fulecturer This show makes me laugh really hard and i even cant tell the jokes again to my friends without laughing so hard , the main character is really funny and the other actors are good too, each episode has a new idea and the jokes are presented with a wonderful performance , just try to watch some clips of it in you-tube and you will understand how this is might be one of the top comedy shows ever produced .

josusz2 "Mr. D" is one of the best comedies on television, either in Canada or the U.S. I look forward to watching it every Thursday night - it's one of the very few programs (e.g., "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy") where I will watch repeats because it is genuinely, truly - funny. The casting is great, as is the writing and dialogue. I would compare "Mr. D" favorably to recent TV comedies which became classics: "The Office", "30 Rock", "Community", and "Parks and Recreation". If you liked those shows, there is no way you could not like "Mr. D.".

Kerry-s-kerr Mr D is one of the funniest sitcoms on T.V. The character sketches are hilarious. I lived in Halifax for a number of years, and the show rings true. One of the funniest aspects of the show is that Gerry was in fact a teacher before he began his career in showbiz. Gerry Dee's comedy is genius! The supporting actors truly add to the ensemble, specifically Trudy and some of the students. I definitely was skeptical, but after watching the first season I was completely hooked. Finally, a Canadian show worth watching! If you have a good sense of humour and you like Canadians and their antics, this show will provide hours of entertainment. ENJOY! Can't wait for the new season!
