Reviews

Diagonaldi Very well executed
Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Skyler Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
camiacono Okay that my be stretching it a bit but really this just some of the most boring crap I've seen from reality T.V. Reality T.V is garbage that just want's to turn anything into drama for the sake of making a quick buck, The only decent reality shows I can recall is the "Totally" series from the early Disney channel years which is basically kids playing sports and making music. This show it just over exaggerates peoples weird fascinations. It tires to make some more shocking or sad than other's but over all this is the G rated version of intervention. Over it's just crap.
TheBlueHairedLawyer The problem with this type of show is that it gets repetitive and begins to decline. Since most of the "cases" were obviously fake, it was hard to take seriously, and the "cases" just kept getting weirder and weirder in a way that really wasn't entertaining anymore, just stupid. I mean, come on, a woman who chows down on her dead husband's ashes? Isn't that going a little bit too far? Some of the episodes made good points about the issues of various 21st century subcultures, like the living lolita dolls (humans who dress up as Japanese dolls and choose to spend a lot of money on costumes and cosmetics), and the furry fandom (adults who dress in large mascot suits that make them look like anthropomorphic mascots). I mean, to each their own, but these activities seem like it's just large groups of adults who don't want to grow up. It's a lot of money spent on these activities and lifestyles and workplaces are being pressured to allow people to dress and act in these childish ways on the job. I'm sorry, but no way would I buy anything from a salesman dressed as a giant fox or wolf, and no way would I go to a doctor who was wearing a My Little Pony costume or a lot of unnecessary cosplay stuff. As this show points out, if it's your hobby and you aren't bothering people with it, that's fine, but it's weird and frankly ridiculous to just expect to be accepted by the whole world for dressing in a giant mascot suit.On the other hand, even though some of these episodes have fake cases, I don't think it's right to exploit someone's problems or disorders to make a bad reality show. Maybe the episode with the woman eating her husband's ashes was fake, but if you can think of it, someone out there has tried it, and making a show of it just doesn't seem right somehow. Shows like these never really last as long as you'd think, anyway. My Strange Addiction was incredibly popular when it first came out but chances are in the next few years it'll be viewed in the same way that Fox Network's low-rated reality show 'The Swan' is viewed.
