This is How Movies Should Be Made
Doomtomylo
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Kamila Bell
This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Haven Kaycee
It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

When I finally got around to checking this show out I was so excited that I had a few seasons to watch all at once... It is a very simplistic and dry approach to sketch comedy that you may not laugh out loud at constantly but it will for sure leave you smiling... I wish it would not be ending and could go on forever...

Dunno, hit or miss. Some bits are pretty good, others are torture and go on and on as if there's no director. It's roots are in SNL so it has that whiff of Andy Samberg inspired anti humor that tries to see just how uncomfortable they can make you before you turn away. It's very heavy on irony that's not ironic, almost like a fake show that the fake writers on 30 Rock would pitch as a plot device. But some bits are pretty good as long as they keep them short and tight.

Came as a recommendation from a close friend, so I was really going to dive in and give it a shot. I got through about 4 or 5 episodes and couldn't go on anymore. Total honesty, I don't think I laughed once. It wasn't funny for me, and I think the fact that I can not stand people that are like this in real life probably played a part in that. But like anything else in the ARTS, to each their own, this is just my simple opinion.

I think this show is such a slanderously inaccurate portrayal of what Portlanders are like that I find it personally insulting. I am not a hipster, nor is anyone I know; most Portlanders are not obnoxious, whiny hipsters as this show would have people believe. What really gets to me is that the creators AREN'T EVEN FROM PORTLAND!!! Portland is a wonderful city full of lovely people, and the annoying hipster population is but a tiny fraction of a diverse community! I hate this show for disgracing my hometown so much that I created this page: http://www.facebook.com/cancelportlandia Like my page if you agree that this show shouldn't exist.
