The show explores almost every topic a real family faces at one time or another and handles each one brilliantly while offering comic relief in between. Love this show so much, the reruns never get old. Roseanne is genuine and relatable.

How the HECK can the producers bring back a show with the complete OPPOSITE message of when this show was good?Years ago, Roseanne had character and dignity and self respect - and she obviously was one of the REAL people, one of the common working folk - and this showed in the love that came out of the OLD show.What kind of insanity brings back the show and craps all over the point of view of the original show? It's clearly obvious that Roseanne the Hollywood star has had her mind destroyed by wealth and luxury and excess. She now shows no respect for the real working people, and she shows her absolute insanity by parroting completely crazy conspiracy theories.Now anybody who has followed Roseanne the person, will likely remember that she's been on TV talking about being diagnosed with at least one form of mental illness. I can't really remember if it was Schizophrenia. I think it was.The new season of this garbage show leaks this insanity out all over the screen. It is everything that is wrong with America these days.Stay gone Roseanne. We don't want to hear from you again.

mccreary66 I used to watch this show when I was a kid, maybe it wasn't funny then either, but it definitely is not funny now.

trypanblue I grew up with the original show, and fully welcomed its return. (And thank you OnDemand as my VHS recorder is no longer. :) hee hee!) What I am overly sad about with this unexpected cancellation was that I truly wanted to see the development of the characters' storylines - all the kids (DJ, Darlene, Becky). Furthermore, I loved seeing Roseanne, Jackie, and Dan all together again - as well as all the previous characters...it just made it so nostalgic and "home" again.I am clearly, CLEARLY disappointed with Roseanne Barr's actions because I just imagined how the cast and crew had to take the news...immediately after a very successful revival.I wonder (and, likely, it is a long stretch) if ABC will consider an alternate approach to mitigate the impact to the cast and crew, for example: (1) Remember how "Valerie" became "Valerie's Family" then "The Hogan Family?" (2) The Netflix revival of "Full House" to "Fuller House?"In both cases, the approaches were a true "moving-on" from the original series.The show will be missed because there was magic among the cast. If it does come back, I bet it will be where Dan will wake up seeing an empty space on the bed.Sigh....Forgiveness will take some time...so disappointed in the recent events...
