CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Mehdi Hoffman There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
kebiitraverda I can't hate the series completely because it had some good parts. Gerald (Page Kennedy) was probably the best part of the series. There were some good plot twists and halfway decent action...but this series absolutely failed to live up to the films. I was wondering if it was coming back for more seasons, so I checked out the page...and saw under the "Trivia" heading that it was a "soft reboot" of the films...and that's when everything became clear. Hollywood is trying too hard to reinvent the wheel. Great movies are being rebooted unnecessarily because they've run out of new ideas and want to try and allow the millennials to capitalize on the past, and with very few exceptions, they fail every time. In this series, why change Lee's first name? Why change his character? Why make Carter so drastically different? "Because we can," is NOT an acceptable answer. If you want to make something new, then make something new! Stop rewriting history!
maikawsb I love this spin-off series very much. I look forward to each episode each week. The fast-pace action hour filled with funny jokes is a treat for every good night. The plot always warms my heart. Give it a shot viewers. Producers please keep renewing this TV Series. Here is a brief summary of the TV series. It's based on the original movie series starring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. Jon Foo plays Jackie Chan role in the Hong Kong detective. Justin Hires play the LAPD. The plot spins in the direction that make Jon Foo stay in LA long term. I don't want to give so much away. Please give it a try. I hope to see season 2 coming soon.
jmurdaj It's OK as a TV show, but not as a part of the rush hour franchise. Kinda predictable sometimes but still a good watch if you have nothing else to watch. The guy playing Carter seems like he's over acting to be as goofy as Chris Tucker's version. He's def trying too hard. Lee seems to be under acting. It's just not natural. So when you watch it, don't think about rush hour or Chris tucker and Jackie chan. Just think about it as its own TV show. I found myself actually wanting to watch tonight's episode. I was flipping through the channels and got excited when I saw that this was on. I've only seen 1 other episode. And side note-the guy playing lee is from England in real life. So it's stupid listening to him use a fake Chinese accent.
Charles Herold (cherold) There's a lot of hate on IMDb for this series, but you know, it's not all that bad. It's a standard buddy cop series, a little dim-witted humor, a bit of banter, "special" moments, shooting and fighting. It's nothing you haven't seen a million times before, but at the same time, it's nothing haven't seen done much worse before.I think the problem people have is they're comparing it with the movies. Obviously this movie's attempt at Jackie Chan-style fight scenes is going to be pretty disappointing, but they do try, and I've seen worse fights on TV. And quite honestly, I never totally connected to Chris Tucker and kind of like the TV guy better. And while the series is quite inferior to the first movie, and somewhat inferior to the third, it's really no worse than the second. This is not to say that I play to keep watching. I saw 3 episodes, and they were all okay, and if there wasn't much else to watch on TV I would watch more, but truthfully, even among mindless TV series, you can do better than Rush Hour. But it's fine.
