AboveDeepBuggy Some things I liked some I did not.
Greenes Please don't spend money on this.
SunnyHello Nice effects though.
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
tankace If I had to choose my favorite series of Cartoon Network then Samurai Jack would take the first place easily. This series mixed the samurai, with the post apocalypse and Tartakovsky and his team put their lives and souls to make perhaps the first animated series apart from anime with a truly cinematic feel. When I heard that the series would continue and end this year I hoped that the last 10 episodes would do justice to Jack and not only they did it but the series was stronger than ever and the ending though a bit rushed was fitting for a series like that. It has both a satisfying conclusion but also a feel of closing for you realize that this is it! As for the travels Jack had not a single one of the places he visited felt like a functional environment with culture, history ,even their own ecosystems and all that in just 25 minutes. The same applies to the characters Jack and we encounter ,they are quit memorable and some have backstories that will put your heart strings. To the fighting itself ,amazing it has been more than a decade that Jack was missing but his style and the struggles he has to pull through are the stuff of legends ,like the impact he has to each place he visits as we see in the final season. And as for the villain Aku ,the main villain has one of them most sadistic and at the time funny personality and this two aspect plain-ed excellently. In the end this series was part of my childhood and I remember it funnily and now that has a conclusive end I also fill like a part of my younger self had a conclusion about something that he loved to watch ,unlike with Prehistoric Park, Primeval, Justice League Unlimited, Wolverine and the X-men, Spiderman (1994) and Kyle XY.
Overseer-Penguin Seriously,I don't care if you don't know the ending, just don't watch the last season. I used to love this and it was a 10/10 for me,but this last season just turned it into a cliché mess with a shitty ending and I hate it.It could've been good, but nope. So please, save yourself from this let down
Flower Pattern Looking specifically at Season 5, this show is absolutely marvelous. The art style is gorgeous, the music is beautiful, and the action is the best in the series. The story is more mature and dark, but is an interesting twist. The characters will also grow on you, and they develop perfectly. I will say that I feel the season was slightly rushed, and could of done quite well with 15 episodes, rather than 10. However, Genndy Tartakovsky managed to put a lot into those 10 episodes. There really isn't anything that I would change about Samurai Jack. It is a perfect story that I will never forget.
OneEightNine Media Like many, I grew up watching this show off and on back in the days. I still remember it abruptly ending without a conclusion. So when it was announced that the maker was returning with a season 5 with the distinct intention of finally concluding the show, I was on cloud 9. And when episodes of season 5 started rolling out and being awesome as all hell, I was taken to cloud 109. Seriously, season 5 is a freaking masterpiece. I'm surprised more people are not talking about it. Maybe people are put off because they've never seen a Samurai Jack episode before. Whatever, all I know is I'm loving it. Each episode of season 5 feels like 3 episodes in one, in other words they have heavy plot and themes associated with them. Yeah, season 5 is darker but that isn't why it is so good. The production value is out of this world. And the freaking soundtrack. THE FREAKING SOUNDTRACK! I NEED THE FREAKING SOUNDTRACK! But yeah, as crazy as this is going to sound, Samurai Jack is currently the best thing on television. And that is not an over exaggeration. If you didn't know, Samurai Jack is about a Samurai who trained his whole life to kill an evil demon named Aku with a magical sword handed down by his ancestors. Once the Samurai's training was complete and he became an adult, he finally did battle with the evil demon but just before he was able to land the killing blow with his sword, the demon opened a time portal into the future and tossed our hero in to the future. So our hero is sent thousands of years into a future where the evil wizard demon Aku is not only ruler of the world but the universe. It should also be noted that the only way to defeat Aku is with the magic sword, which Jack loses in season five. So yeah, Jack's ultimate goal is to travel back in time to kill Aku and undo the horrific future. Oh, and season five takes place 50 years after season four. A side effect of time travel left Jack unable to age. But yeah, this season can be watched with having seen any of the other seasons. Like I said before, this is currently the best show on television.
