This is How Movies Should Be Made
Neive Bellamy
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Anoushka Slater
While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Billy Ollie
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Religion... Bad.... Restrains freedom.Yawn. This age old rhetoric finds little new ground here in what I thought would be a fascinating tale of a princess nobody wants. Instead I find that the themes and subject matter are simple one dimensional rehashings of a tale as old as time: Nobody likes religion, therefore it must be inherently bad. While the Anime itself is pretty well done (hence my rating of 2, rather than 1) and at times is quite fascinating to look at, sadly that is the only thing that stands out in this yawn-fest of simplistic predictable characters and story lines. By the time I had gotten to the 3rd episode I could already tell you who was going to be the main protagonist for each episode... and from that point forward I never missed a single one. There are no surprises here.If you are looking for fascinating sci-fi.... turn to Blue Gender, Full Metal Alchemist, Armitage (Poly or Dual), or any other number of far better Japanese anime. If you're just looking to waste time and be bored... well... here's one you'll not regret on that front.BTW: Obviously those who did the subtitles even got bored --- they couldn't get "Cis" (or Cz) name right ONE SINGLE TIME when she was in child form. Kept calling her "Cin"... which doesn't even sound close to what was being said.Trust me... this is one to take a pass on... I sure wish I hadn't spent the money on it.

First of let me say that I'm not a geeky fan of anime. I'm a man who loves all sorts of films that have a message, good dialogues, well made characters and a good written story. This is not a film, but still it fulfills all of the criteria. The moment you start watching this series you start to evolve a bond of love and sympathy for each character. You may, or may not, jump off your chair vouching for your favorite character whenever he/she is in trouble. The dialogues are in no way exaggerated but rather simple and gradually evolved for each episode passed. The story is VERY well written and above all, unique. It does contain sad and very very very dramatic scenes, which actually even made me shed a tear, which I rarely do when I watch films. I've seen many animes, I enjoyed almost everyone of them. But when I came to see this series it did not just excite me, it overwhelmed me. This anime also covers another thing, which most animes don't. And what could that be? The ending of course! In most animes you're left to be sad and the end "real" end will remain unknown. But in Scrapped Princess the end is perfectly shaped! It's an end which will either leave you happy or sad. In most cases both. But when you do think about it you can't deny admitting that this actually was an anime with good dialogues, well made characters, good storyline and a good heartwarming ending. I'll state my point; My favorite anime, 10/10. If you're a fan of anime go watch it! You don't know what you're missing!

I have watched the full series and must say that I am very pleased with it. I would rank it up there with some of the other great anime series that I have watched, such as Cowboy Bebop. The easiest way to think of this show is that it has a storyline similar to the Matrix, although it is set in the middle ages. It really has a truly intriguing story of how, after a great war, known as the Genesis war, humans were put in a contained environment to prevent further destruction. The humans were ruled over by what are known as the peacemakers. They were also led to believe that it was t around the middle ages. The story follows the life of a young girl, Pacifica Casull, who is the only person that can resist the Peacemakers' powers. All in all, it was an excellent show and I would recommend it to any fan of anime.

I've seen quite a few animes in my time and most of them generally aren't original and not very entertaining. Scrapped Princess isn't all that original but it was very entertaining. The animation is very good its a newer anime but it doesn't look like crap like most newer animes look like. The storyline can go from funny to serious in a matter of moments. Each episode keeps you wanting more. This isn't the best comment in the world but no one else has commented on it and I think its anime that you just have to see to enjoy. There's magic, knights, gods, and dragons. Nothing new but something you have to see.
