Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.
Robert Joyner
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

I started watching this show sporadically when it went into reruns on E network etc. While I did find it fun to watch at times , for the most part I got tired of the Mr Big crap , the man was a seriously unattractive louse of a man and Carrie was just not all that pretty and a slut too. Their on again off again thing got tired really fast. She really is not the married type in a real life scenario nor would Miranda or Samantha be. Charlotte while a married type is too boring with her lovelife , she wants to be a princess etc yada yada. Miranda is so ugly and sorry but she is so totally unbelievable as a single mom and yes Cynthia Nixon is a lesbian but so is her character Miranda, I cant imagine any man thinking she could be straight with her mannish appearance . Samantha is at least a slut and we know she's a slut , the only character who could actually exist in the real world.Overall the Mr Big thing goes on far too long and drags it down . And the fact they were both lying cheaters makes it such a cliche that they end up together.
If anything they are not people youd want to date or even be with period.
So we have 2 movies afterwards that just play that same game with Mr Big again being the central plotline. boring boring boring. Im glad they finally stoppped making more of this schlock. It was more fun to watch when the ladies were all single and barhopping and not getting tied down to one and done useless male characters.

This is the show that helped HBO rise to fame and also is the most quote-able show I've ever seen! Four women who are there to represent different opinions on men and sex in a tongue-in-cheek yet frank and extremely hilarious way. You can never have a boring time with these four women's adventures with living in a big city. The show really captured the zeitgeist of the late 90s to early 00s it's very palpable through the whole show - clothes, words, technologies like Carries computer and all of the characters telephones. This show is a landmark in televisions history and should get MORE cred than its given! So sit back, enjoy it with your friends, get your manfriend hooked or enjoy it for yourself instead of a night out and you'll be entertained!

I loved this TV show. It was the primary reason for my move to NYC in 2012 and I was delighted to find the city looked just like it did in the show. But the show lied. NYC is so expensive that I've had to live with a roommate for years just so I could live in the UWS. I just wanted the lives that the women in the show have but I've been spending most of my money on rent and most of my time at work! And every man I've dated has turned out to be a cheater and a d-bag. There was one guy who just used me for sex while planning his wedding to his actual girlfriend, who I didn't know about for the longest time. And before you say I should look in the outer boroughs for guys, no way. I have actual standards. I'm not settling for some broke dude from the Bronx or butthole Queens.Where is my Mr Big? I just want to be able to choose the right guy, so I can get away from my pokey apartment and my room mate and finally enjoy NYC without needing to worry about how I'll pay for the clothes I need. I've lived here long enough to be a native and I have tons of native friends, but all the decent guys are taken or gay. There must be somebody with my time in all of Manhattan! So F-U, SATC, for encouraging all those dumb stupid chicks from Jersey or wherever to move to the city for two years before they run away back home. They're muddying all the waters and giving all the best guys too much to choose from. Stay home!
