What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.

As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.

Character development was great! I loved the ideas for the plot. Amazing story behind it all. I really enjoyed the show. It would be great for young children! I really liked the characters, they portrayed a behavior such that not too much fear is present. He idea of adding a scientific meaning to the story makes it much better.

"Skyward" is an American English-language short film that premiered recently and here we have one of the newest wave of pilot episodes from Amazon that may or may not be turned into a series. The director here is pretty prolific and so are the writers, even if one of them in acting. The cast does not really include any big names, but that really isn't a surprise as this one here is much more about the stories than about individual performances. We have a bunch of kids here who basically acting like mini Ghostbusters with the exception that they are chasing aliens. Add an ounce of Goonies and Scooby Doo and you have a good idea of what this is about. Sadly all the ingredients you take here never result in a successful meal as I did not find it an inspiring or interesting watch. And when they actually do find an alien, things hit rock-bottom. Anyway, there are other core issues, namely the kids being uninteresting for the most part, sometimes even annoying and with many of their dialogues I must say that this is stuff that felt unauthentic and certainly not coming out of a child's mouth, even if you obviously cannot blame the young actors for that. If the quality stays steady on the level we got here in case the show gets picked up, I cannot see any longevity and I don't think I would wanna watch it. This first episode gets a thumbs-down from me. Way to go for everybody involved.

I'll admit I almost did not watch this "Pilot" Skyward 2017 Episode 1.1. from Amazon, because labelled "Children" TV Series.Got drawn into this during the opening scenes of their First Sighting, then the "Five Years Later" of having their own Radio Station, and Pod Casts.I was really amused by the Bio Mechanical "Spider" Reconnaissance "Drone". Considering I watched many (Too Many) Documentaries about what our (Earth's) Space Programs should do first, as currently the Exploration Satellites with Extremely High Resolution High Definition Video Cameras and Sensors, and Planetary Mechanical "Rovers" like on the Planet Mars. This type of Children's TV Series will seem to interest Children into "Conspiracy Theories", "Alien Abductions", however, by doing so will also interest some Children in Science, Space Flight, S.E.T.I. (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) as a good influence. Please do not inject into future Episodes Politically Correct Nonsense.

I thought this show was very well done. A lot of fun, and interesting premise. The kids were believable ... not too over-the-top smart or snarky, and very believable in their roles. Good family feel, nice portrayal of the sheriff/dad (not gonna lie, huge Richard Speight Jr fan here as well! And he was terrific in this role). Primary emphasis was on the children in this show, but the adults were believable and never portrayed as "clueless" or simply there to laugh at (a personal pet peeve of mine in a lot of kid shows). I do tend to be one of those "picky parents" about what my kids can watch. There was nothing in this show that I took issue with. I would recommend it to any parent. And as stated, it was still fun and interesting. My 12 year old son really enjoyed it. Both of us hope to see much much more of this series! All in all, very well done. So please pick it up!
