Wonderful character development!

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

I enjoyed every second of it.After seeing all the episodes, and the WRAP, I felt something, something I haven't felt since "All Good Things". Star Trek is not about war and combat. Star Trek is about exploration, humanity and compasion. And this series captures the essence right to the bone. The acting is genuine. The sets, the props, it's like they have been teleported from the sixties.Much energy and love has been invested into this show, and you can feel it.Thank you so much for your dedication. You are a bringer of hope.

I spotted on this serial only couple months ago, and watched so far only 2 episodes. Indeed, they made it well - it is probably only true follower of (original) TOS. And as I see, Star Trek is probably original serial with most of followers - there is most of serials starting with "Star Trek" . I have strong feeling that it is low on budget, although it is not much visible on screen, but fact that there are only few episodes per year may be indicator. Acting may be not on high level, and actors are really unknown, again, probably because low budget. But it is OK. What matters is story. And it is for sure on level of original series. At moment we have 2 "Star Trek" serials under work and (premiere) airing: this and practically the complete opposite: ... Discovery . While Discovery is high(er) budget, with shiny CGI, lot of action, shooting, it is just not Star Trek. They changed a lot, in not good direction. I stopped to watch it because it is just so shallow. Star Trek Continues goes so far in recreation of original that they even use outdated 4:3 screen format. Effects are not 100% same, but very close to those from some 50 years ago. I will keep watching this. Rating: 8 .

The production quality on this show is undeniably fantastic. The tone is near spot on. But you would not know this if you are not a fan of the original and/or don't love the now campy nature of the original show. If you didn't laugh at William Shatner's falstaffian character then, you might miss out on this. The biggest understandable complaint that I agree with is the quality of some of the actors. I love the actor playing Kirk. But Spock, Scotty and a few others aren't the best fit. But it's clearly a work of love. I laugh and cheer when I watch this, lovingly. It's a very good sign that some of the reviews here are either very negative or very positive. It means that they've gone all in, as any artistic endeavour ideally should strive to do.

It is really hard to rate a fan production of any kind, let alone one that aims to recreate Trek's original series. It took me a couple of episodes to warm to the characters, but ultimately 'Continues' leaves all other fan series for dead. It is well written and generally well acted, and it is easy to mistake the meticulously crafted sets for the real thing.Vic Mignogna and Todd Haberkorn put in fine performances as Kirk and Spock. Grant Imahara is a capable Sulu, but looks a bit like he has gone to warp drive a few too many times. Chuck Huber's horrid hairpiece detracts from what is otherwise a very good performance as Dr. McCoy. The other main characters are a mixed lot, but none of them are in the 'total disaster' category (unlike other unnamed fan series). They even manage to nail the 'cornball corner' moments as well as any replicator out there. And there are 60s-looking babes aplenty (need I say more?).For mine it is the sets, costumes and production design that really distinguish this series from the others. A few CGI-FX tip that the series is well-and-truly beyond the 60s. Other than that, it would be pretty easy to pass the series off as the genuine item if it had of aired in 1970... and that's no mean feat.Don't expect great Trek, but if you are satisfied with a bit of nostalgic fun, this series is well worth checking out.
