Reviews

Freaktana A Major Disappointment
Micah Lloyd Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
Chantel Contreras It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.
Cheryl A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
jariksol25 Black Jack Savage is a classic. Six episodes yes, but "I got it all on tape, Lucky." - Sgt. Bilko. I was greatly influenced by Logan Murphy "Fx" He was my first favorite character that got me interested in everything. The Blackbird made me love Stealth, and the vacuum cleaner to capture the Snarks just made me want to play with electronics. And as a result, I've taking a lot of things apart just never put them back together again.Even though this 'series of six' didn't air well; I wish that Disney would remaster it and put it on DVD. They put a lot of dumb shows on why not redo this classic? A broke guy that looks like Captain Kirk (I think he acts and looks like Captaink Kirk, but that's only my opinion), a pretty girl, mysteriously dying/disappearing islanders, and a ghost that won't leave the castle...what could be better? Oh, yeah, and a smart guy that can get cable. :0-)
gosherry-1 This series is now over 15 years old, but I still chuckle at the antics of Black Jack, the parrot, and Teaburry. One never knew what the inventions would include, but they were always great. I think that the reason this show did not succeed was not the characters or the plots, but rather that it was a summer replacement show, and NBC kept changing not only the time it aired, but also the day. It would skip a week or two and then show up days after the episode before. I too would like to get copies of the entire show, as it was a classic. I think there were 3 of us who watched it. myself, an old friend and the other commenter. The viewer was always rooting for Black Jack when he left the property and had to make it back before the Hounds of Hell caught up with him.
akidatheart220 I really loved this movie. It was fun, exciting, adventurous and silly at times but it's a great family show. I wish they would put it out on DVD. If the TV show would have kept Stoney Jackson i'm sure it would have been a success. He brought that character to life. His animation, antics and chemistry with the cast was incredible. The fun starts when the millionaire Teaberry must leave the country to avoid arrest and buys a very reasonable, very large house which he finds later is haunted by the pirate ghost Black Jack Savage. He doesn't believe in ghosts until Jack 'introduces' himself. The two of them must save lives so they do not wind up in hell for the deaths they've caused by their deeds or actions. A scientific genius friend of Teaberry who invents the most incredible things helps out both willingly and unwillingly. I would highly recommend this movie if it ever gets released on DVD. I personally copied it on VHS when the pilot played on TV. I'm a huge fan of Stoney Jackson and this is the movie all fans should see.
