msparklez I don't understand why there isn't a 3rd season I mean even if the ratings dropped by 30% just Means that some people didn't like it but there are 70% more people that liked it than people who didn't like it. I cried my eyes out when it was done not just because it was sad but also because there wasn't more to be told the story wasn't done it had just started and we as your tax payers (kind of) we deserve to know the last part of the story. It doesn't have to be a new season it can just be an small 40 minute episode. I loved this show and it'll always be my favorite show. But I just want to know what happens to the characters in the show. Heck if I had the money I'd pay for a new season with better writers (but exact same story) if I ever got one wish from cancer or something it would be to bring back the Carrie diaries.

Ronit Chotlani Sex and the city yes it was charming and i loved it but was sad when the series ended and the movies too but was delighted to here that the prequel was being made. So Annasophia does a pretty astonishing job here in the Carrie diaries but the this series takes another turn and i love being thing about teenagers and their complications of love life and family but this did not mean in any way the planned prequel to the SATC. I loved it being this way because the big Carrie was not like this and the vision she has made in our minds about herself as this kid. and Samantha's also in her own sexy way to lure guys but not she was like this. The Envision of the Carrie diaries was to create and show how Carrie Bradshaw made herself and I'm impressed with the show. So its a thumbs up from me and i want the producers to go for at least another couple of seasons. its a fan request after all.

Alan Ramírez I never write reviews on IMDb, but after seeing horrible reviews, I had to do something. I have never watched SATC or the movies, but I wanted to watch this show because it looked like a good break from horror shows. First of all, the series is BASED on the book series of The Carrie Diaries, not the SEX AND THE CITY books/TV show/movies. And when you read the word based, it means that it won't be 100% accurate; that never happens when a book becomes a show/movie. I don't see why that would scare away some hardcore SATC fans, you're here to see how Carrie made it, not if she looks like SJP, or if his dad is present instead of her mom. And all those changes were made by Candace Bushnell, the author of SATC. So make your research before complaining. TCD delivers just the old-fashioned taste of a teen drama; no horror, no blood, just good drama about a group of teens and about their issues while they are on High School. AnnaSophia was the perfect choice to have her own show, I find her charismatic and an actress that can be the lead of a show. The rest of the cast is great too. The plot is awesome; there are not bad episodes, and week by week you want more and more! There's always something going on. Overall, I find this as my current favorite show because it's just a show that you don't take too seriously but you enjoy it because of all the 80's vibe, the cast and the stories. Give it a chance if you like teen shows!

Ann Verna I like the fact that it takes place in the 80s! It shows you a different perspective then any other show and I love the characters. I hope they continue the show and they do not cancel it like many other shows that have been canceled lately. It is a very cute show and I also love Carrie's hair, it is perfect for the 80s! The clothes they wear are also perfect and they chose a great character for Sebastian. I have not watched SITC so I do not know if they completely changed Carrie's story or not. Even if they did, I still like the show and the innocence of the characters. It is a good show for teenage girls but really anyone can watch it.
