bbelladdonna The 'wife' in the title was enough to deter me from watching this show. The 'good wife' sounded even less intriguing. I was wandering how they managed to survive for 7 seasons. How comes so many people keep watching stuff about wives and housewives? Speaking of preconception. And then, a month ago, having previously seen both seasons of The Good Fight with gusto (yes, 'fight' sounded way more promising) and finding that it is 'a relative' of The Good Wife, I decided to give it a shot. Result: my first experience with binge watching. Wow!So much has been said about this show, the splendid cast and the richly developed characters. Therefore, since I am rather late with my impressions, I'll just say - Jason Crouse (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). The way he looks, the way he looks at you, the way he speaks with elliptical sentences sincerely and mysteriously at the same time. Everything about him is smoking hot.I hope this bit of chocolate will entice the other sceptics to bite into this delicious show.

ReaptheChaos I've always loved a good courtroom drama, and for that reason alone this show had me hooked from the start. However, like so many other shows these days, after a few seasons they drifted away from that, spending countless hours devoted to interpersonal relationships and subplots. By season 5 they were hardly spending any time on actual legal cases.I understand the need for character development, but it should never come at a cost of the show's main premise. They took an interesting show about the law and spun it off into a never ending soap opera of who's sleeping with who, politics, back-stabbing and melodrama.

ketelaarms Have started watching the series on Netflix but sometimes I wonder what happens??? 1. Did Alicia not have to leave her apartment? And she was supposed to go and live with her husband an children in their old house? Or am I missing something? 2. What happened to the girl her husband supposedly slept with, during the campaign? These are just a few questions from someone in the Netherlands who enjoys watching the show.

chriskoczka-64473 This is a great series in that it is quite entertaining. My favorite character is that of Kalinda Sharma excellently played by Archie Panjabi; her character has the highest IQ, even if she has great emotional vulnerabilities. The lawyers she works for would not have half the win rate if it wasn't for her 'research'I do not like that they keep saying they are in Chicago, when almost every outdoor scene was made in New York City. It is well written and well acted, considering you keep in mind it is an American network TV drama, where all too often good premise is diluted by adding emotionally immaturity to the plot's best characters.I still think "The Good Wife" is worth a binge watch.
