Synopsis

Those who remember the awkward years of adolescence can relive those painful days in this British comedy series, where the cringe-inducing humor arises from the ill-fated antics of its four protagonists. Suburban teenage friends Will, Simon, Jay and Neil, students at Rudge Park Comprehensive, attempt to navigate the social scene, attract members of the gentler sex, and saunter among the cool crowd. However, despite their best efforts, the four hapless lads usually end up on the side of the nerds.

CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Freeman This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
David Hooley Wow. Whilst it's a shame there were only ever 3 series' made of the Inbetweeners, that does feel like the perfect amount. This ongoing tale of 4 best friends is hilarious, rude and often awkward from day one until the very end.Every single day there seems to be a new challenge ahead - And of course, challenges which they cannot overcome without some sort of disaster happening.Certainly in need of the age limit it comes with, but once you watch it, you just won't stop. My parents aren't fans of vulgar humour and explicit jokes, but even they thought this was pure gold.If you're looking to learn how to get through high school, then look elsewhere.
FloodClearwater Imagine an NSFW, R-rated, bizarro Freaks and Geeks that hammers home hilarious, raw, biting bro-humor with the gliding, staccato meter of a Ricky Gervais. Imagine that, and you've dreamed up the hidden gem that is The Inbetweeners. This 18 episode comedy series concerns 16 year old school boys in modern Britain and stars Simon Bird. As Bird plays his lead role of "Will," we might imagine that Walter Matthau, Ben Stiller, Jason Schwartzman, and John Cusack each agreed to donate their seed to a pregnancy clinic which then recombinated their DNA and quadrophonically embryonized Bird in the womb of either Mindy Kaling or Tina Fey. Bird's light comic assault on everything and all as cameras roll is that unstoppable. Joining Bird as his friend and foxhole mate is Joe Thomas, cast as the 'blue eyed soul' and the 'least likely to pleasure himself' of the group of school society survivors Bird's "Will" eventually reforges. The language is raw. The anxieties and the scene set ups, as we can so ruefully remember from our own school days, are all too real. If there is a Hall of Fame for British televised comedies, The Inbetweeners gets in on the first ballot.
Jamesfilmfan905 The inbetweeners is four sixth form students Neil , Simon , will, jay who best friends and who aren't the most popular kids in school but they have each other as they try and navigate through the trials and tribulations that go on at there sixth form such as girls, exam preperation , girls , and hormones and outwitting there psychotic head of sixth form Mr Gilbert . This show In my opinion is Adrian mole updated to the small screen but with a lot more strong language and puerile and graphic discussions about sex and some nudity which can be course but overall it's an hilarious show which revels in the embarrassments of sexual debauchery which provide the funniest moments in the show . Overall the inbetweeners is the funniest show ever produced by e4 for the reasons I mentioned above but be warned parents it's not for kids under 13 at the most because of subject matters discussed in the episodes I laughed at every single episode because of the puerile sense of humor and the contextualised discussions about adolescence buy it now or you will regret missing out on a landmark e4 comedy .
Red_Identity I saw the three seasons in two weeks, and as a whole, it's pretty consistent. It gets really hilarious, and there is probably only a very few average episodes. Not only is it hilarious, but it's really easy to connect with the characters as well. All work great together, but Buckley and Bird are definitely the best in the cast, milking their material for all it's worth. All characters have unique traits to themselves, and the wacky story lines all work. Yes, some of them are complete clichés, but even when they are it works in that same respect, making them even crazier than what we expect. I strongly recommend this, shame it didn't go on longer.
