modderkakor "The Librarians" is a spin-off of a movie series that began in 2004. The original movies appeared to be a Doctor Who and Warehouse 13 crossover fanfiction, with a bit of X-Files tied in, and a "search and replace" made to change specific words to "Library" or "The Librarian". And yes, WH13 came after the original movies, but the show altered The Library's function to more closely match WH13. Cheesy, poorly written, and poorly cast, but mildly entertaining as background noise.The Librarians is a continuation of this odd, poorly made amalgam of other popular TV shows and books, but with a few extra characters -- none of which can act (or perhaps the writing and directing were just so haphazardly slapped together that it ruins any possibility of the actors showing off their own ability). Unfortunately they were not able to nail the camp value of Doctor Who or Star Trek very well, and I'm afraid it will not hold even it's mediocrity into the future. A quickly forgotten show filled with quickly forgotten characters and actors. Well, aside from the massively annoying "math girl". After 4 seasons, I still do not care about a single character on this show, and forget their names almost instantly. Very sad how poorly it was done, because it COULD HAVE BEEN very good.The absolute best part about the show are the guest appearances. Bruce Campbell as Santa Claus, Jane Curtin, Felicia Day.... the guy that played Odo on DS9.... Okay, so that's really about it..... You get 9 episodes out of 4 seasons that have memorable actors or characters.

The writers are creative in the way they merge together real and imaginary villains from books adding in a little history, math problems, science along with myths and fictional stories. I also love the fact that all the characters are strong in different areas and rely on one another to solve the Library's problems.

They have to help safeguard fantastic cursed artifacts throughout time and around the world . They are joined into the Metropolitan Library of New York where there is the ark of Noe , the fountain of youth , Excalibur or Arturo's blade and other fantastic relics . As a bunch of librarians formed by an art historian , thief , mathematician and a warrior set off on exploits in an effort to save mysterious , ancient objects , old scrolls and other enigmas . Meanwhile , they having problems , they just don't time for their lives and relationships . The incredible adventures led them to wonderful worlds , and dealing with Santa Claus (Bruce Campbell) , Pope , Dragons in the Roman Vatican and taking on nasty enemies as Dulaque (Matt Frewer) and his hoodlum as Lamia (Lesley-Ann Brandt) .This is the TV sequel to ¨Librarian trilogy ¨ with the likable Noah Wyle , this series dealt with the sympathetic adventures of the mild-mannered as well as botcher Flynn Carsen who starred three popular episodes titled ¨The Librarian¨ franchise 1ª: Quest of the spear -2004- directed by Peter Winther and 2ª: Return to King Salomon's mines -2006- by Jonathan Frakes and third ¨The Curse of the Judas chalice¨ -2008- again by Jonathan Frakes . Furthermore , other attractive guest stars appearing in the series , such as Tricia Helfer , Rene Auberjonois , Alicia Witt , John Noble , Sean Astin , Tyler Mane , Michael Trucco , Rene Auberjonois , Clara Lago and many others . The series was well produced for TV by Dean Devlin (¨Stargate¨ , ¨Godzilla¨ , ¨Independence day¨) . Johnathan Frakes, who has directed three episodes and two of the three movies surrounding this series, also directed 13 episodes of the television and Marc Roskin made 9 episodes , Dean Devlin directed 4 episodes , and Noah Wyle realized 4 episodes . Rating : Acceptable and passable, this exciting adventure has all the imagination , magic and silliness this kind of amusing demands .
