The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

There are some good things but what worked in Spin City, talking to the camera, being the smart man amongst crazy side kicks and other stuff, well all that is here in a different sense but it isn't really working out.It got better after episode two, but the first two didn't really sell it and the next couple of episodes are better but it didn't really grow on me. It seems like they are trying to hard, and maybe that is what ruined it for me, I watched the first five episodes, but never got hooked.I think Michael is on his way back and you really can't notice much about his Parkinson, but he really needs to do something more weird and awesome then this.

Michael J. Fox has a sympathy factor, but is uneasy to watch. The show has furthermore an another way beneath her talents (guest) role for Anne Heche. The rest of the cast are not in her league and fits the mediocrity of writing. The editing is even worse. No real story development or what so ever.The show got a little better after a few episodes. Still the jokes are overdone and the same over and over again. The show is overall not funny and boring. Maybe a must-watch for Michael J. Fox's fans, but don't be too surprised if it's a negative one. Not to recommend.

I am a huge fan of Michael J. Fox. I've read his books and applaud his optimistic attitude. His work on the show is entertaining. I like the actor who plays Mike's boss and the dynamic between Fox and his boss.However, I'm disappointed by the sitcom. The supporting characters are poor actors - disappointing and dull. I do not find the actresses who plays his wife or sister remotely appealing. The kids are only OK. I honestly hope the writing changes to minimize their roles so that the star, and namesake of the show, can continue to shine.I was highly disappointed by the guest appearance of Anne Heche because I find her, and her poor acting, to be obnoxious. I sincerely hope that hers will not be a reoccurring character.

I happen to think this is a great vehicle for both MJF and cast. Each character is well developed. The combination of the acknowledgment of reality and the presence of unrealistic situations make for several levels of humor. The youngest child retaliating for the parents cleaning his room and giving things to charity, by taking random things from the house and taking them to donate without the parents knowledge was one of my favorite bits. The Thanksgiving episode with Candice Bergen and Charles Grodin was both laugh aloud funny and made you cringe with family uncomfortableness we've all experienced. The final scene between Charles Grodin and MJF was heart wrenching. I hope to see more.
