Stometer Save your money for something good and enjoyable
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
ChampDavSlim The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
matrixmistro I use go watch this a lot because I was curious about how the relationship would go and then it occurred to me this show is degrading. You have a woman that claim to know everything about relationships and hooking people up but I never really experienced relationships that really worked long term. More importantly I can't think of anything easier from a business point of view than trying to hook up a bunch of, what I can only describe as bimbos or gold diggers, to a millionaire. Of course, the answer is always yes and every show is about a bunch of women in short mini skirts trying to hook up with men with money or desperate men after wealthy women. Most of the time the millionaire is also just after a bit of fun and after someone half their age. How on earth this matchmaker can think she is so good at hooking people up, I have no idea. It's more like a high class escort service than a dating business.
Cassandra Kelsey Premise: People who have nothing else to spend their money on pay a botoxed orange bullhorn on legs to secure them human flesh.Lady pimp Patti and her oddball Disney villain looking sidekicks shriek, belittle and harangue their way through potential clients as much as livestock for the bemusement and horror of daytime TV viewers. Those brave enough to step into the Thunderdome must abide by the rules or face summary verbal rape. About as ugly an hour of TV as you will ever come across, destined to either become an Internet meme or more likely...be included in the next Grand Theft Auto game to replace America's Next Top Hooker.Terrifyingly grotesque television which concisely sums up everything that is wrong with the world in one neat package. Watching this will take away a little bit of your humanity, you have been warned.
Clem MSL I agree with all 9 reviews actually, I fully understand why some people will view this as "disgusting". But also, there are some genuine stories and I like that Patti tells off the millionaires. 90% of them on the show are full of themselves, narrow-minded, with a rude attitude towards women, and so sure they are great (but they are not!), oh, and often not good looking. Some of them are so awful I would not date them even if I was paid for it! Some references: about the episode when the 2 millionaires choose each other: I saw it twice, and although I liked it the first time, then when I looked at it again, I didn't like the guy. I realised that his goal for being on the show was to advertise his hotel, and probably if he could meet someone nice in the process it was a bonus. In the episode where the guy from Eastern Europe, who brought like 8 family members on the first date, HE was looking for a sh*g, not a wife! This was obvious and it made him despicable from the moment he appeared on the screen. In that same episode, that rich and shy Jewish guy was a gentleman and his date went well, a meal and some salsa dancing. I wouldn't be surprised if he respected the rule of 90 days w/o s*x. About Dave the s*x toy guy, he was out of order a few times, but in the episode when he treats his date to a massage by the pool then a gondola ride, he acted very decently, whereas the girl (Asian) acted like a wh*re the whole time, trying to get laid and nothing else. The two 30-something (Club owner from Chicago and IT guy from Florida) were pure losers. You have 24hr to get to know your date and show her your life and you pee in front of her because you can't be bothered to walk to the toilet!??! "Hi, my name is David Golshan, I have a butler, I wear a scarf in my home while smoking my pipe, I am the kind of man that men want to be and that women want to be with" - give me a bucket! Anyhow, this show is somewhat entertaining and it does one good thing for us normal people: it makes us like other normal people/normal guys! At the end of the day, whether you agree with what Patti does or not, there is one truth: she saw a gap in the market, she filled it, and she makes good money out of it, with the satisfaction of actually matchmaking successfully some people. Job well done.
brendanrau What a load of sexist tripe! Apparently, men are nothing more than walking wallets, and women are nothing more than brainless gold-diggers. Why should women have to work at all, the thinking goes, if they can just find a gullible sugar-daddy instead? And why should a well-to-do woman ever have to settle for a man who isn't richer than she? After all, the sole measure of a man's worth is his bank account, not his character. Gender equality is so overrated, or so we're supposed to think. Piffle!If you're looking for something more wholesome, do yourself a favor and rent a hardcore porno flick instead of watching this show. One's I.Q. is bound to decrease ten percent just by sitting through five minutes of this garbage. If I could, I'd give this show a thousand negative stars.
