I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.

The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

This show captivates you with the mystery of a mist. Then switches it after the second episode like "The Walking Dead" and centers around humans fighting one another. My main gripe is the human conflict and descend into madness is unrealistic. None of the characters have any logical thought process, they just default to the most bat shit crazy actions they can make for plot device. Don't watch unless you want to scream at the TV and wish bad things upon the writers. If you were drawn in by your curiosity of the mist, forget it because nothing gets explained. Bait and switched.Giving it 1 star because its a really underhand method pull the audience along this way. We want believable characters and mysteries explained, at least a little.

This show packs in every social justice warrior topic within the first 5 minutes. Stephen King is really slipping and should focus on making good entertainment and focus less on politics.I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone.

Not having read the novel, but having seen the movie then I was somewhat familiar with the concept of the series. But I still decided to sit down and watch it.Sadly there was just one season of the series, and the show does end in a very anti-climatic manner. The characters in the series were nicely fleshed out. They were quite well detailed and portrayed. And there were lots of good interactions between the numerous characters throughout the series. The actors and actresses were doing great jobs in bringing their roles and characters to life on the screen. However, I was expecting to see the huge tentacled creatures that were in the movie, but they didn't make an appearance in the TV series. Which was somewhat of a disappointment to me."The Mist", all in all, is an entertaining series, but hardly an outstanding show among the numerous other horror inspired TV series available.

I had to bail after 5 episodes. It was hard to like let alone identify with any characters outside Mia and Bryan for me. The old woman made my skin crawl, The Priest who is supposed to represent God is a bumbling idiot and a abuser of women. Eve may be the most unlikable character I've ever seen. The show really couldn't deliver characters you could root for. It's a shame because the Story by Stephen King is so good. Really felt like the teen homosexual sex was gratuitous and probably turned a lot of people off.
