It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Jenni Devyn
Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.

Excellent! Amazing! Spectacular! If you don't like the music group New Edition, You will love them after watching this movie!!!The young cast as fans affectionately call the little's,set the bar for the older cast to take over the screen! Affectionately and appropriately called black boy joy, these talented men portray the original members to the T!!!I'm a new fan of them all! They did the original members of New Edition proud! The singing and dance routines were phenomenal!! The entire cast was pure perfection, particularly the actresses that portrayed their single moms.I grew up being fans of the original group and I longed for the day to see this biopic because it was well deserved. Happy that all members still alive to see it.See This movie, and feel good about multi talented people on screen and off!! NE FOR LIFE!!!

This mini series was an amazing addition to the culture. It bridged the gap of generations. I ended up watching after a snippet of them recording Can You Stand The Rain and I was intrigued. Luke James's voice is phenomenal and mirrored Johnny Gill's so well. The Littles were great also! Elijah Kelley is so talented as Ricky Bell and he told the hell out of the addiction story! Algee Smith was beyond believable as Ralph Tresvant and he embodied his style. (Noticed that during the You're Not My Kind of Girl mash up). Bryshere Gray did amazing as Mike Biv. Woody McClain had me excited to look into the life of Bobby Brown. For this to be his first role he slaughtered this! Keith Powers played smooth Big Ron DeVoe and the funniest part is he was so chill until night 3. To see all they went through and where they are it's amazing. Now New Edition consists of 17 members because they became family. The cast is so committed to each other and show black men in a light that makes them happy, fun, emotional, and loyal. BET & Jesse Collins did phenomenal. The best biopic since SOC

This bio was amazing , told the side we didn't see and didn't know, the music flooded memories , and told the truths , of the things that changed those boys to men ! ***** Its hard to imagine the struggles and temptations that's involved with stardom . It's amazing to see where they are now and all that the have overcome.

With regard to expectations, this TV biopic of New Edition exceeded those and so much more. From night 1 to night 3, there was a sense that this could go on forever, or at least a few more nights. If you were a New Edition fan growing up or love black musical history, this miniseries was for you. I honestly think that BET could have stretched it out to a full 13-episode series (1hr) like the ones on Netflix. The production was great and the musical choices were awesome because it had the REAL music unlike some of these other TV biopics (*cough-cough LIFETIME). Also this was one of the most authentic biopics to date because BET was able to get the real characters that were involved. In short, watch this miniseries. You will NOT be disappointed. No spoilers here, just go watch the movie! 10/10
